BTW...just so you know...the monkey stuff didn't come from Tom's thread.
Some RSM stuff has appeared in his tags too.
There is a third party involved here.
Tom actually just posted some flattering comments about your mods.

This whole tag system is pretty silly if you ask me, anyone can post anything at any time and we have no recourse except to yell for a moderator. Even if we had the ability to approve/disapprove like on Youtube it would be a vast improvement. Well, it makes alot of it meaningless when random stuff is posted.

P.S., I asked before for people not to post anything on someone else's thread for RSM's benefit, I don't want something like that coming back at me. Plain silly stuff, and Pirates HATE silly stuff, PLANK TIME Arrrrrrr....

There is a third party mentioned in the tag, but someone could be trying to stirr up stuff amongst various people, maybe a plastic maker with an agenda or a tube type with issues...who knows....

Maybe I should just have them all deleted and start over.

Edit; oops, no that tag is now gone

Nah..just ignore the flamers and fanboys....Even though most people on the forum are very loving, giving and truly nice people.....there are some
that just see their own point of view and can't stand it that others are different! There is enough room on here for ALL the mod builders but some
people don't see it that way!

With the constant improving, listening to your cutomers and great craftmanship that you have, you are getting more and more people to notice...
when you make the changes ie display and cut off....you will be the one everyone wants to be!

Thank you, very kind words.

Not too sure about the kill switch just yet tho, I think I ran out of room. But good news maybe, I ordered some SS tubing I think should work for the juice feed system. I have been looking for a while and that stuff is PRICEY to say the least. Some companies wanted up to 20 bucks a foot but I found some tonight for $.70 per inch and I think it might work.

I have heard the arguments of copper in the feed system, and I have been told by a dude with a masters degree that without sufficient heat the transfer of metal would be negligible, but, SS looks better! yarrr...

One more problem solved ... now I just need a cheap secretary.

Thanks again for being so sweet :)

Maybe its just me....but why would the RSM boxmods need a safety switch?

I know i dont have one yet but where the button is positioned and recessed it would not be easy to accidentally press. I personally want this mod so i can carry it in my pocket and as far as i can see i dont think that the button would be pressed being in a pocket. Please chime in if i may be wrong.

I sold my phid...not because i didnt like it...but because the button is mounted in the front and for that it should have a switch if people carry it in their pocket. I lost count as to how many times i set off my phid in my pocket and its easy to forget...for me anyways...that it will go off in the pocket.

I also owned and sold my 5v journeyman...not for the button or the safety switch...but because the feeder plug would push in and being in the pocket, flood my atomizer and leak juice from the connection

The monkeyboxx has a front button and a safety switch but is very uncomfortable to carry in a pocket...unless its a very loose pocket

wow...sorry for the long story

Do you carry it in a shirt pocket? I would be afraid of bending over and it hitting the floor like my cigarette pack used to do all the time.

424 looks sharp as paint and ready to go btw, it will sail on the afternoon tide bound for the port o' New Jersey, arrrr...

No you are not wrong! its not easy to accidently fire a RSM! I throw mine in my purse and put it in my pocket all the time even took it on a 5 day roadtrip w/o it ever firing accidentily
or leaking juice! I've even fallen asleep and rolled over on it. You shouldnt have any probs either!
It is also comfortable to hold and use.

a safety switch would just be a good bonus feature like a led display........not absolutely necessary just nice to have!

For me...the safety switch is a must have on a device during the summer months.
The last thing I need is to burn up my PV.
On my home models...no switch is needed, but I put my mods through the ringer...I gotta have one.

EDIT: There is another well known PV maker who refuses to make certain changes to his model, because he doesn't see the need. He doesn't want to "ruin" it's looks with a safety switch either...he's losing customers because of this. Another doesn't feel his door is an issue...but most people who love this PV, hate the door. Just because it hasn't gone off, doesn't mean it won't. Sorry for the rant.

No prob AG-I didnt mean I wouldnt like a safety switch, it would be great......its been hot here for 2 mos already!
I was just trying to relieve asidraves fears as he has already bought one!! Unlike some others I use that fire accidently all
the time my RSM doesnt but as you stated its not impossible for it to!! I put mine thru the ringer too and had a little misfire already (1 day)

I think Cappy should find a way to put in a swicth and display too then it would be darn near perfect!!

I know he can, I know he can........

Ahoy and good day to all. Hope you have a fun-filled weekend.

I've spent some hours looking at various slide/push on/off switches, each type I have to call up the PDF and look at the specs and decide if it will fit and how it would have to be arranged. So far I've seen 2 types that I might be able to use, I will try to find a few options, then I will order a sample of each type. When those arrive I will physically try to mount them and see which one works best. If none of them do, then I start over again. Kind of like I did with the SS catch cups.

I will try to do this as quickly as I can, if I'm gonna use a kill-switch, I want to include it in the initial release of the updated version of the mod.

Just to let ya all know of the process it takes to add something new.

Ok, heading down to the ship, me gots a busy day...arrrrr

Humm, I've been doing the same thing for my diy kit. The push type seem to be the best bet so far. Wonder if we'll come up with the same one haha.

I would love to find one, short with a plunger on/off. I could put a shallow depression in the bottom end cap that the button would sit in and with a push of a finger it would click on/off. The body would be slim and the wiring contacts on the end. Perhaps around a .5" or less length, or, a SPST on/off slide switch in the smallest package that will take say, 2 amps.
