They are all beautiful Cappy but I have a couple of favs #415 and #416, the purple recon-stone is really beautiful and the padauk/jade is gorgegous too!

I must admit it is turning out even prettier than I had hoped, but the stone is a bit harder to work than I had anticipated. No matter tho, its still workable and I just received in some more, can't wait to turn it into something. Yarrr!

Very sharp Brian. I love the idea of wood and stone.

I would love to take all the credit, but most of the improvements since the Mark-II have been tossed around on the thread. A comment or wishful thinking gets me to pondering and next thing you know!
I think someone mentioned precious stone inlays, this is the next best thing and still affordable.

Thats great, looking forward to it. It's not TOO smooth is it? I don't like glossy wood, I think there should be texture when you hold it. The VV I use myself only has one coat of finish to seal the wood because I already have a plastic mod :)

If you post it on youtube, then I can link it to the website if you don't mind, arrr

Smoothness is just right....not slippery. Question tho...will the wood absorb any spilled juice? I had that with my Phid around the atomizer connection.

I ordered 2 sets of 18350's last week...i want to have them in hand for the video review. The 16340's work good with the magnetic spacers...just a little bit of side play.

Will the next new batch of VV's have an LED? I have a spare LED and i was looking for a place to mount it.....I cannot butcher such a nice mod :)

Thats whats so cool about you and your mods..you listen then try to make it happen and that means they just keep getting
better and better!! you coulda just stopped once you got the basic design down and had the take it or leave it
attitude we've all encountered!

Wood would absorb any liquid spilled unless it is sealed first. Something easy like Minwax wipe on poly-urethane may be your best bet. You can also use 'tung-oil' but almost all products labeled tung-oil are actually varnish, which I don't like and don't use.

I have no plans for using LEDs, I've had plastic box mods with them and the first thing I did was take them out, pretty useless things IMHO. Granted they could be used to light up the bottle or something but nah, not for me.

Just as a building tip, super-glue is a poor mans wood stabilizer, you can use it to fill gaps and seal wood with a hard, glassy surface. You could even spread it around the inside of a drip well to seal it, just watch out for those fumes.

Have fun! arr

Well, that doesn't sound very wise. If you don't keep adapting and changing with the times then your product will become yesterdays news with yesterdays innovations. With a product that is basically a flashlight with an atty instead of a bulb I don't see how anyone could afford not to listen and give people what they want. Can't please everyone all the time, but can try to please the majority.

Keep those ideas coming and I'll keep playing with them, Yar!

Cap'n, each batch is prettier than the last!

What she said...

You touched on something that brings me occasional feelings of guilt. I wish I was in a position to say "Hey look! These are a bit better, I do this cleaner now, and this looks more nice. Send me your old ones and I'll swap them, cause even tho I tried my best these latest ones are better!" I wish I could, but ...you know how it is...survive from week to week like everyone else.

I am happy in the fact that even with the improvements the old ones are still beautiful IMHO and work every bit as good as the newer fancier ones. The mechanical side is the same, just a bit prettier I guess.

Thanks to everyone who's helped me along so far, god bless

I meant a VV LED meter....sorry i wasnt clear. A single LED looks cheesy on a wood box mod...to me anyways
