Brian she is absolutely stunning! I am speechless:) Really looking great Brian, I am very pleased and look forward to getting this baby home! Thanks Brian!

Thank you, appreciate you appreciating it. That is about as far as I can go for 'free inlay', still takes some time to do. I think about buying store-bought inlay, but if I do that I might as well get stickers or decals, slap em on and say 'good to go', but I think not....the unique inlay is one of the things that makes it stand out from the crowd IMHO....

Thanks again, Arrrr..

Ahoy Cap'n Brian! USPS has finally caught up to me. Sheesh they're slow. Ought to hire faster truckers.

Now to the important part... WOW! My mods are gorgeous inside and out. Your pictures, while good, do not do justice to your talent. Fit and finish is amazing, even the solder looks pretty. I am impressed. Extra parts in the package were a really nice and appreciated surprise. Right now I am vaping myself into a coma with my Scallywag and some KBV juice. #102 is happy here as well, and has been christened the Minnow.

High Hooks all around. Yarrrrr.....

Oh, have you considered putting a comments/review option on your web page?

Thanks a bunch, very happy that you are liking them. I checked out the webpage, I can add them I think, I will have my youngest son take a look, he's studying to be a programmer so might be able to add the html to the page.

Slow night, only one preorder to finish atm, but got a bunch of housekeeping chores done and parts got ordered. Lull before the storm? Got an outstanding piece of Wenge in, another chunk of wood big enough for the Mark-IV when I start making them again. I'm starting to get a hell of a collection of wood around here, arrrr..

Nothing much else new, anything interesting happen to anyone?

Heh, give me time, Red Maple and ebony/ebony ... I need to find a piece of maple big enough first. To make a Mark-IV in my style the wood has to be at least 1.1" thick else I have to make it a two part box afair like most of the other guys. I'm kinda fond of the way I do these new ones. It's on the back burner, never fear. Yarrr...

You must be getting old Cappy...mine was Black Cherry and Ebony!

I'm just yanking your chain.

You see there's a very well-known mod guy on ECF, who was supposed to make me a custom box.
He never did.
I purchased five of his mods.
Helped keep his thread hopping, yet no love for AG.
I have a bit of a sore spot concerning this particular guy.
Enough of a sore spot that I'm getting rid of all of the mods I purchased from him.
He is starting to develop a bit of a reputation for being kind of a jerk.
I know of a couple of other guys who used to buy from him, and will not buy from him anymore.

Do what you gotta do, but please don't put me off forever.

Five? good grief, thats alot of 'em. Each one different?

I will make Mark-IV's soon, I have 4 standing orders for them so far. I am collecting wood so I can offer a few different types, right now it is limited to Black Walnut, Cedar, Bubinga, Ebony, Black/white ebony and the wenge that just came in. I would like to be able to have more of a selection than that for main body wood.

Hmm, when you run any enterprise, seems to me you have to treat everyone with respect, courtesy and do what you can to make them happy as long as it does not impact on your business or other customers as well. Maybe that's just my age talking but also seems to me that he is biting the hands that feed him.

If I make an agreement and set a delivery date, I will make that date or darn close to it or I should not be making a commitment to begin with.

Well, sorry to hear of your troubles, I won't delay longer than I have to, but as long as I must to do it right.

Oh, and wasn't your scallywag Black WALNUT with the psychedelic disco ball inlay in the shape of a winged tiger? Nevermind, I got the dimensions... now where did I put those ..

Later gator

I know five is a lot...I leave home around 7am and don't get home until 10pm.
If I don't change flavors every few hours, I would go right back to smoking.
The guy takes requests, and I was in no hurry, but when 3 months rolled around, and no mod...
In the mean time, he's filling all kinds of other requests...
Not to mention, (ok, I'm mentioning) I had several electrical issues and the fit of some of the doors...
Let's just say that everything wasn't as great as it should have been.

With that said, I've been very pleased with the two mods I've purchased from you.
Your attention to detail and craftsmanship is unmistakable.

I have some plans for you, once you get everything running the way you want.
Let me know when you are ready.
Your work deserves to be in the main showcase.

In case you missed it -

Ahoy! Things are too quiet .....

Looking at that single, solitary, lonely, un-vaped Mark-IV posted above is giving me the weepy eyes ....... arrrr...

Tell ya what, I want to set it free, to roam and find happiness, maybe even a friend.

So here is what I'm gonna do.

If you want it, send me a PM with your bid.

Saturday night at midnight (local time) I will sell it to the highest bidder and it will find a home and we will all be happy.

Free shipping as always via Priority mail.

Rules;

PM me with your bid. You may cancel your bid if you change your mind, just send me another PM.

You may discuss your bidding and make fun of each other AFTER the bidding has ended, ok?

Have fun, Yarrrr...

P402 is the one being bid on (Bottom of pic)

Heres a quick list tho;

#101 - Last and only Mark-IB in existence, priced at $85. No real interest has been shown for em, so ain't makin em anymore.

# 201 and #206, 5 volt box, think you've seen 'em before. They're on the website

Mark-III # 313, #314, #315, also on the website.

Mark-IV #P402 - $110/prototype - Three of these exist, this is the last one one.

Smooth sailing ....

Brian can you tell me what the dimensions are in the 5V boxes behind the electronics cover? Considering converting one over to VV and need to determine if the chip set will fit. Need about enough space for a AA battery. plus the switch? Guessing that wont fit?

Im almost positive there isnt enough room in the MarkIII for a booster, POT,switch.... Bottom feeder would be kewl though

Ive been stalking box makers for a few weeks trying to find the perfect one and I think yours are great. Feel free to PM the info if you would prefer not to post it.

Ahoy Ruppy, the dimensions are .5" deep, .6" wide, 2.3" long. switch centered at .7" from main body top (not top edge).

you would have about 1.3" x .5" x .6" to fit a VV board, which is what I will be doing in the future myself for the Mark-II type 2/VV.

Thanks Brian :) Guessing I could get a linear reg in there but probably not a evercool or PTN4050. I will do some measuring and shoot you a PM or email :)

Linear yes, evercool or other, probably not ... would mean changing batteries a little more often, but save a bunch of space.

Hey, if you DO find one in a package that would fit, let me know, I'm always willing to upgrade a design, Thanks again
