Do u ever get burl wood..I have a lovely bowl that a guy in CA made for my Mom and she left it to me. the wood would make a beautiful mod

I've entertained the idea, but I already have a stack of lumber that needs to be used up before I can justify spending more on even more new types of wood, lol

I think I have around 35 types on hand as it is, whew...l

Down the rabbit hole..
Tell you what, see #410 in the picture? It is a cedar mod that I decided not to use. If you pay for parts only and shipping I will let you have it as a 3.7v for, say... $15 bucks, but understand it will not have a warranty.

What do you think?

Please check the website home page for available box mods. If it is not listed there it was already sold.

Sorry about the confusion.

Its on your website----if she doesnt take it I will

Number #410 is? Must be another one, as that one still needs hardware in it if she wants it, or you if she doesnt.

I also removed the sold items from website, theres not alot for sale atm, they go fairly quick.

Yes, she took the cedar one. Did you want one that was red like that? Like number 414?

Not sure what you mean exactly.
Sorry that wasnt too clear! I still want mine 412 but u said the cedar was like a sample u wouldnt warrant i was wondering if u had more samples that I could buy also.

(I would buy both)

Have you discussed some of the details of your VV circuit? Hopefully you aren't using that MadVapes set-up.

why's that?

No idea. I've tested it and used it and while it isn't the most efficient regulator in the world, it is cost effective, small, stable output, handles the load well without too much heat and it fits in a .4" x 1.4" space.

There's always something that someone thinks should be different/better.

Happy sunday! Hope everyone has a fine day today.

Arrr..

knowing WB he's gonna say that you should be using the evercool TI-bigblue regulator. Im not an expert and wouldn't know the difference and surely WB is a picky PIA but he knows his crap :p
as for me a step down regulator is a step down regulator and does not matter what you use.
but if you ever sell me a project DIY im gonna try to put in a TI booster with a slide switch to bypass it and vape at 3.7V like I did on my varBox. single boosted 18650 with pot and sliding bypass switch :woot:
btw I have a madvapes VV and it works flawlessly (makes me think about selling my overpriced VV tubes)

Your absolutely right Brian. The only real drawback is what you said that it is a little less efficient. It is not a considerable difference vs other options. It is a sleek form factor. Minimal work assembling them and they get the job done. The voltage range is good as well. To keep the size of your box I think you made the right choice.

BTW I also want a Mark IV DIY kit. Not sure on what wood yet. When are you starting the next run?

Its possible but you better be better at soldering than me lol. The dimensions inside to work with are super tight. I couldnt get a 4050 small enough

I think that theres enough room in there.

Brian! I only found your thread becos of WB. He was saying how beautiful and well built it was and he was right (again).
if people want to make it any different than what you're making they can (i only hope that you'll offer it) get the DIY kit and do it their own. Theres a chance that I'm gonna mess it up and I know for sure its not gonna look like yours. Hell! I dont even know what to use to paint it... But I'll have a pretty enclosure well made and still gonna have the feeling that i built something!! :)

Thank, I will keep trying to offer what people desire.

I apologize for being snippy in my earlier post. This is my 3rd month of 14+ hour days and maybe I am getting grumpy and stubborn.

Sorry to all If I am.

P.S., I welcome all feedback still, if you see something that needs improving, please mention it and if you have a possible solution I will be even happier.

If you think it would cause embarrassment, please PM me and we can discuss it.
