Well, I have no other suggestions. I love the Tennessee but as I said, it didn't agree with me. Did she try that one?
Yup I kinda like that one too. I have waaayyyy too much juice :p
South American Bocote, Sycamore, more Padauk and Wenge. I'm up to almost 50 types of wood lying around, but many are not thick enough for my style of 1 piece body parts so I can only use it for endcaps and inlays :(
Hmm I will have to look those up. Pretty sure I will be getting another one eventually. Wife's been eying mine lately. Perhaps after vacation Ill see what you have around ;)

I hear ya on the wood. I was shopping for some not long ago and alot of it can be found that thick but its outrageously priced.....

Do you get these in blocks or sheets and then create what you think will look spectacular.

I try to buy anything 6/4 or bigger (1 1/2") then cut it down to block size then start forming the body pieces from that. It needs to be at least 1" thick for even the smaller scallywag so that limits my wood selection for bodies to only thicker pieces of wood, else I would have to cut panels and glue them in place or go back to the 'back door' style which I worked to get away from.

Count me in. My chance to step out from the sidelines and perhaps score some of your excellent work!

You still have a chance for a late present.

I will be picking a random post number for a labor-day weekend prize.

I'll use post numbers starting from midnight friday night thru midnight monday night.

I will pick it midnight (my time) monday night and the winner will get a silver key (the pick of any item on the website for free). It's been a while since I had a give away. Second prize will be a Mark-IV 18650 DIY Kit.

Yo ho ho!
