Uh, Cappy.....I thought we agreed no pics.....:lol: I was actually regretting I said that and you sly sea dog must have read my mind. Aye she is going to be quite the vessel and I trust your judgment. I love wood with character and as long as we are structurally sound, all is good on the high seas.

Ohhh Taz, as I was taking pictures of your mod I realized I put the Zebra ends on it instead of the Wenge. When I build these I automatically put them together the way that looks best, and apparently the Zebra wood looked better than the Wenge to me.

I must admit that these might be the prettiest 4 mods that I have done yet. There are imperfections in the wood on your mod, but seeing how its B&W ebony you have to appreciate the worm holes and flaws as other builders will tell you, and cherish the chips, one could hardly afford to do otherwise, lol

This is right before it gets final edging and sanding, after that is a coat of finish then the electronics.

The way the two sides matched up is outstanding, damn it is pretty.
Yo ho !

DAMMIT CAPT' I can't get that song out of my head.

*bangs head on wall and staggers stupidly off singing*

"What would you do with a drunken sailor?
What would you do with a drunken sailor..."

I'm still singing it! Even out loud. All of a sudden "What would you do with a drunken sailor" pops out of my mouth. :laugh:

You know those little cheap circuit boards that they put in Birthday cards and whatnot that play a little tune when you open the card? I could put one o' them in a RSM box and every time you push the fire button ....

Why is it that GOOD songs don't get stuck in yer head?

I didn't mean to imply that it wasn't, just thinking of how it will look when finished! It was a beauty in the first pic Brian put up, with all of the rough boxes on the table saw, and just keeps getting better!

Oh..............I know that Brewzz. I didn't mean to imply otherwise at all. I just meant I was already salivating even before it was done. lol

Sorry..................I always put my foot in my mouth. It's why I tend not to say much. Or maybe that is the problem. I don't say enough and it always comes across wrong.

Ahoy, here is part of the post I just put up on the contest thread;

For those curious, the 1st place prize will be a one of a kind Mark-3.5 that I made for myself and never used. It is a Scallywag model (Red maple & Wenge) but as a dripper setup with 3 ml drip bottle storage inside. No other one like it.

2nd prize is a limited edition (by limited meaning I only made 4 of them and probably won't make more) Voltage Display meter mounted in a Makore body. 510 connector on one end and extended 510 on the other end. I am also including a Multimeter for handy checking of atty resistances and/or dead attys.
