The differences with the current Cutlasses Cappy is making are:
1. No cut off switch
2. Smaller catch cup, Ikenvape's Cannon Stealth atomizer won't fit.
3. Linear regulator as opposed to switching ones.

Sorry for all the question!

Whats the diff between linear and switching?

NP pal, ecf is here for this. A switching regulator is more efficient than a linear one as it produces less heat. Less heat= less power wasted. batteries should last just a bit longer between changes. Also a switching regulator is more indicated at the top of the voltage range, 7 volts and upwards, as they will be less keen to mess your settings once set.

You have made a great choice. If you are not a guy that vapes at REALLY high voltage you will just be fine with your lady. Did you name her yet?

Congrats on getting your RSM !

I run all day long at 4.5 to 5.5 without any problems. You may notice it gets a bit warm under your fingers by the switch, the regulator is mounted there behind a thin wood wall and you can feel it dumping excess voltage as heat. (I will kinda miss that warm feeling with the switching regulators. Wheres the love? No warmth .....)

P.s., there is still 60 days left on the warranty, seeing how you let me know you have it I will put you down as the new owner :)

You got a really nice one Landlord.

You will be fine with those settings on a linear. Honestly other than the little bit of warmth i never see much difference in batt time between switching and linear. I have several mods with each and both run about the same time.

I don't know how many tech types visit the thread, but I had to get a new multimeter a bit ago and searching E-bay I discovered that the US Army has dumped a bunch of top of the line FLuke 27/FM true RMS multimeters onto the market as they have bought newer models.

These surplus meters, while 20 years old are still probably one of the best Multimeters that money can buy. I was going to spend 50, maybe 75 bucks on one and managed to get one of these for $37 plus shipping. I am tickled pink, I never thought I might own one of these as they went for $450 bucks 20 years ago!

Heres a quick link if your interested ; fluke 27 | eBay

The dark green model, not the yellow ones.

Adding more questions to the tally!

What makes one multimeter better then another?

Well, It's past 10 so I have to shut down the machinery but here is a pic of where I stand with this half dozen mods.

Click on pic for expanded view

Tomorrow I finish up the minor routing, sanding and start to assemble end caps with LEDs, switches and wiring.
