Its actually darker then that, but im pretty sure its the one!!
I only use the Polyurethane finish, I don't put any wax or anything on them that way you can use whatever you want, Feed & Wax, Pledge or whatever and you don't have to worry about taking off the old wax before putting on a different type.

Well i think the original finish was removed some how, because it is (was) very dull, not shiny like the pic posted above!
I managed to somewhat bring it back to life!

maybe zebrawood has some kind of characteristics?
I think I like the darker look better though.
That Howards Feed & wax looks great on it. When I put finish on them my main concern is filling in the pores of the wood and making it juice proof. The way I see it is that people are paying for some of the finest exotic wood out there, so If I cover it up with so much clear Lacquer or whatever that when you hold it it feels like plastic then they are not getting their moneys worth. A mod will be as shiny as the wood itself makes it, all natural and sugar free!
If you want shiny, I can grab a can of Hi-Gloss Lacquer from walmart and give it a couple coats, lol

I think that is a Bocote and Black walnut. Bocote is a hard wood to finish due to it having alot of natural oils that seep out.

Im going to guess, two different woods for the body??? The grain is definitely different.
I'll go one further and guess that you used half of two different Paduak samples to make the body and cover.

Ok, it was more obvious to me as when I inventorying the left over parts I found they didn't match. Turns out it has a Cocobolo top cap and Bocote bottom caps, oops! I know they are similar but I found it kinda comical. Now, should I give a discount as a defect, or raise the price for a one of a kind RSM with 3 types of exotic woods? LOL

See i cant tell the differences between woods YET!! I have a feeling t his may start something new in the rsm world. all different woods on one mod!! Its a great combo , thats for sure!
