Ahoy to the crew of the Red Sky!! Been a little while, and it appears that I've missed a quite a bit!

I took Loihi on a Caribbean voyage! We pillagged and plundered multiple islands, and consumed many tankards of rum and ale, but managed to return to homeport none the worse, aside from being tired, a bit sore, and mildly burnt!

The commodore and I went on a Carnival cruise last year, but I don't gamble, wasn't too fond of Frank Sinatra imitators/that era of music, people at my table were mostly snobs, didn't have alot of cash to blow on the gift shop junk so she and I spent alot of time sitting on our stern balcony watching the wake. Still had a pretty good time tho on the excursions.

We sailed out of your backyard, on the Carnival Legend. We only ate in the dining room on the two "Elegant" nights, but our table mates were our friends that went with us, and two very nice older couples from London.

Our excursions were an absolute blast! Went zip-lining through the jungle, and snorkeling on some of the most awesome reefs in the Northern Hemisphere (I told Wifey that I'm going to have to get my scuba cert before we do another Caribbean). On the ship, when we weren't sipping rum on the balcony, we hopped around from bar to bar, took in a couple of the comedians, and people watched at the lido deck pools.

Arggg, we were discussing the hybrid atomizers a bit ago. I got two of them in and the first one was doa and the second one died within 2 days. Also there has apparently been a big issue of the design of the bottom shorting out the atomizer.

So far I have one dead RSM unit that needs a new regulator and two other reported problems, all of them apparently when using the hybrid atomizers.

Are they actually selling off the old stock knowing that there are existing problems? I thought that's what I someone posted previously?

The fact that the atomizer connectors are already know to have problems when over-tightening a atomizer is just compounded by these hybrids if they are indeed the culprit. I look forward to the day when I can obtain a more robust atomizer connector but am stuck with what is available on the market.

Rant over ..

Please don't use these things until they resolve their issues, I am also the one having to pay for their design flaws, just saying ...

Cappy, so sorry to hear your woes. Yes, COV slashed price to move old stock. Vapage AFAIK was out awhile ago. New attys have smaller venturi to alleviate the issues on non proprietary mods among other improvements.

I too get a bad taste when vendors continue to sell an item with known issues and no disclaimer, but I've seen it enough. Maybe it's an unwritten rule that each vaper must do their due diligance?

Today while I have a heavy flu, with dripping nose real sore throat [so I cant smoke and vape at all] and a head that seems going to explode, my GOLDEN LADY WITH THE FACE arrived !!!!
all the way acros the oceans, she came to me and try to make me feel better.

Then putting in some fresh batteries, juse, new attie [no not a hybrid] and...........nothing.
I think she was a bit tired from the long trip.
rememberd reading about this a couple of pages back, so start playing with the little buttons, and then finally.........after many times she going like a train !!!!

that said, now how she looks..........just STUNNING!!!!!
when she arrived, I thought it was a kinda fake wood, thats how nice the grain is on this beauty, its so nice its almost looking fake, but this is the real deal !
so from now on it's going to be THE GOLDEN LADY WITH THE fake FACE !!!!

Do I feel better ?
YES even with this terrible flu, she makes me smile !!!
Thanks Cappy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darn those switches, several people have had problems and the only thing I can think of is that after I did a final test on them I gave them all a Wax & buff and probably got wax dust in and around the switches. From now on I will put a bit of tape over the bottom when I wax them to prevent this from happening again, so very sorry to those of you who had problems,

Clicking them back and forth a bunch of times seems to have cleared them up so far tho. I have also started making the switch holes slightly bigger to give them more clearance on this batch.

Well I'm glad I read this because I was about to pick up a couple of the hybrid attys from COV.

I think COV only has the universals left anyway, so they would not feed. There were other issues though that you should be aware of, coils wrapped very closely and not centered. Some got great milage, so not much at all. The new ones are so purdy inside! The coils are nicely centered and wrapped so evenly. The venturi is smaller and should not pose a problem on any devices now, but I didn't have any issues with the first run on my RSM. Learned long ago to only screw an atty in enough to fire. If you crank them down, you can get a short from compressing the connector gasket.

I started a 2.5 BF hybrid on Aug 13th and it's still going like new. No cleaning, a few blow outs only because I was testing flavors and found them yucky. I tend to vape one device with the same atty till it dies. No rotation, no cleaning and I am a chain vaper. Average daily juice consumption is 5ml-10ml depending on my stress level. I've been under a lot of stress the past couple of months being drug through our lovely court system....ugh. Love the vapor, flavor, and ease of these attys!
