Ok...I've been lurking, reading, and watching the RSM thread for awhile now and THIS is something that DEFINITELY sparked my interest. Love the more narrow design for those of us with smaller hands!!! *runs to get in line for one now*

Okey doke. Here is the first Mark-8 working unit, just needs some totally minor tweaking and I think it is ready to go. The wiring takes twice as long as normal, but it is mostly out of sight and has a pretty clean look don't you think?

The CC is inset about half its height to further prevent leaks and I tried a little more oval of a squonk hole than the previous models.

I used a display I usually use for testing, the normal ones will be black and you adjust the voltage from the bottom as usual.

I held it in my hand for pictures so you could get a feel for the size.

That is going to be perfect! A lava tank is 1 1/16" from the bottom to the top of the cap (tip not included) and .75" in diameter. You sure you didn't have a lava to base it on?

No, but I was told by a very reliable source that if I made them able to accept a .75" tank that the most popular ones would fit just fine. Tanks bigger than that would be too big to even worry about making a mod for.

Arrrr Capt',ye be havin any finished prototype of the hidden tank mod?
Arrrrr......

Nah, not yet. I'm working on the final steps of building the new Cutlass models, then I will turn around and start all over bringing up the Destroyer inset tank mod from raw wood to finished product. When I get to that point I will be able to start taking the pre-orders again with finished and ready to go build plans.
