Chet, I ordered a couple of the Vapage hybrid BF atties at the beginning of November. I threw one on my RSM around Nov 10 and didn't change it until yesterday. It's gotten a little gummy so I figure it needs a real cleaning (I usually just run them under the tap). Im gonna give it a Cappy Coke Bath and see if it takes all the crap out.
I exclusively vape my RSM about 5 mls a day so for about 60 days, so I'm guessing I got about 300 ML vaped before I felt the need to change it. That being said, I'm never going to use another brand of atty again.
Also, I think the rubber ring is to create a tighter seal to prevent leaking.

Good to hear feedbacks Bryan and Stalker. A friend of mine complained many times about the longevity of this atty, and I thought his were ver.1 but found out they were also version 2's. After I got my ver.2's I'm having the same issue. But you seem to have good life out of them. Are you guys using Upright feeding or Tilt & Shoot method? My buddy and I are both using T&S method so I'm just wondering.

Did you try pulling the pin on the atty out a bit before you adjusted your mod? I found that just using a small blade to extract the pin by a mm or so got it working just fine.

Evening shipmates.. So far it has been a terrible work week.. I have been looking into these hybird attys, The HH.357 has a hefty price tag I might give those Vapage ones a try..
Tried them. Didn't like it as much as the io6's. But that's just my opinion.
Arrrggg, break time, been soldering all day and I need to get the kinks outta me back.
Seems like the new style of box makes working the wood twice as fast & easy, but the hardware takes three times longer. Don't know if I would exactly classify this as a win or not. 3 done, 13 to go, arrrrr

Ah yeah soldering is not my strong point, can do it if I have to for quick fixes. Now my boss (Airborn3) is a soldering mad man. All his box mods has LED's so the bottle lights up. Put a new button in my buccaneer, works awesome. A soldering mad man. lol
I'm using the upright method. It's a bit easier to do whilst driving.
I'm doing the same, although I'm not sure it would make a difference
Arrr, thats enough of that soldering stuff, me eyes be startin' to cross and I just tried to solder me fingers together.

Morning all! I have a new born son (Levi, 2 weeks old) at home and decided to give my wife a break. She was looking frazzled so I sent her off to bed around 8 last night and took over. Yeah great idea, give us some bonding time. He was sweet enough to give me about an hour of broken sleep. lol If you find me face down on the deck, shake me awake before the Capt sees.
