Quick question for every body out there,anybody use ni80 wire for coils? If so have you noticed any difference from kanthal? Better,worse? Am sorry am posting it here I guess am too lazy to start a separate thread,I mainly use kanthal and wanted to try it but figured I'd better ask what the peeps have to say before getting some as its more expensive that kanthal wire,I saw that there's ni60,ni80 so am a little confused on what to get,thanks guys and gals for any light you can shine my way

I used nichrome (ni80) a long time ago. It's got its pros and cons. I noticed it ramped up and down faster than kanthal, probably because it's a softer wire. It's got a lower resistance to it as well. But I got a metallic taste from it, which I didn't like.

Of all the wires I've used, 316L is the best and ni200 was the worst, IMO. 316L also has the cleanest taste to it, and you can get it super cheap (vendor on Amazon, especially.) If you're itching to try a new wire, 316L would get my vote!

Yea, you're definitely using the superior wire. Ni80 is good, but I didn't like it better than kanthal, overall. I wish I could get my hands on 24/26g 430 SS. 28g is all could ever find, but it was definitely the superior wire.

hey, i am in the hunt for new wire.My usual built is 24g kanthal will 24g 430 SS give me similar results? ps. can i dry burn it?

Couldn't tell ya. I've never been able to find 24g 430 SS in the US. The only 430 SS I have been able to find, from a reputable vendor at least, is 28g.

I love it!

But there's a caveat. I've had two spools of 24g from different vendors (including Lightning Vapes) and I never got it to work properly with TC. I've tried every atty I own, with multiple DNA200/250 mods, and I just cannot get 24g 316L to work with TC. 26/28g works just fine, tho.

But for power mode, yes, I love 24g. It's got a cleaner taste than kanthal does, and is lower in resistance (if that's your thing). I also feel they don't gunk up as fast, but that may just be in my mind. You can dry burn it, but you don't want to pump too much power into them when dry burning, as it'll mess them up. I lightly pulse at 15-25 watts, max, to get a dull red glow. That's all you need!

Unkamen has 317L wire in 24, 26 & 28g.

The tcr is .00138 so you can build same wraps as 316L but get higher ohms.

I thought it is just my imagination but vaped some coils that had the exact same taste without knowing they are SS just to find out that they were SS indeed.

Anyway: In case I did not say that. The Reload RTA is the best RTA I ever had (and I had a LOT ).

Never leaks, easy to fill, not a lot of condensation in the base, wicks like a champ, top notch flavor. I am extremely happy with it despite my first disappointment. This disappointment is gone 100% in the meanwhile. If the $13 kindbright clone vapes the same, it is the best deal ever in vaping history for me.

That's great to hear,I know how you were at first so am glad you are enjoying it,I am dying for some body to report back on the clone,let's keep our fingers crossed,but then again if it's as good as the original some might be all over again lol...

I know right,am as excited as you are and I haven't even ordered one yet,but I will depending on what you think of it of course,I've bought enough duds so far so that's why am holding off,I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
