There's two different Smooths. One is Smooth Tobacco where the other is an additive.

I took the OP's original recipe and tried it with a Perique/Latakia blend. I like it enough to mix 30 mls. at a time.

Hey, PureSci, I think the Kiwi makes it closer to the Pluid but I prefer the Orange Cream variety. Not as tart and lets the absinthe come through nicely.
I don't think TFA Smooth is tobacco at all. It is supposed to round off flavors. Pluid to me tastes like eating 10 boxes of Good N Plenty candy, I don't like vaping food coloring but something similar to Pluid works for me. Not trying to duplicate it myself but make something I like.

Hmmm...one absinthe recipes calls for a mix of fresh seasonal fruit such as strawberry, lime, orange, kiwi and passionfruit.

A friend of mine says he gets a strawberry/lime flavor from it.
I'm going to scrap the kiwi idea for now. I think the combination of grapefruit, lemon balm, and lemon peel will make the flavor I'm after- Orange punch with a tartness. :)

I'm glad you're getting as much pleasure out of this as I am! Lol :)

I am not sure if that is accurate... There is only one smooth listed on the TPA website.. and it IS listed in the tobacco section but it is not tobacco

My Smooth is from EcX Signature concentrates. I used up the Hangsen I had so I can't check the bottle, but I'm pretty sure it said tobacco in the description or the bottle. It sure tasted like menthol tobacco. Now I have heard that Signature flavors are re-branded TFA. I don't know if that's true, but the Smooth from Signature is not tobacco.

I'm not liking my recipe much anymore. I think I am overdoing it with the lemon lime and after some time it kills all the other flavors. I still cant take the flavor of the horehound either. I haven't ordered any anise yet, but plan to soon.

I'm really tired of all of my juices right now.....need to find something I like again. I just don't know enough about mixing to be able to do it right. There is always something missing in my mixes.
