OP will be back here in a few months complaining about how much the Vmod sucks and how he should have just purchased a REO instead of wasting money on cruddy copper phalli.

We're a great bunch of folks who appreciate a durable, reliable versatile mod made by a hell of a guy. We've found the end-all be-all. See you again soon.

Op I feel you,
I have a cruddy job and a family to provide for I couldn't afford to keep buying shoddy chinese clones. So I put back a few dollars every month and after about 5months I was able to purchase it. Its really worth it the service from reosmods is great and its almost indestructible. In fact the first thing my reo did after being unwrapped was become airborn and fly across my livingroom not a single scratch. buy what you can afford I say save up and put your clone budget to something really great.

Here's the thing.... I agonized over purchasing my first. Within a month I had 4 and a little while later I got number 5. They're worth it, regardless of what $40 clone tube mod you're using now. If you want it bad enough, it can be found. Number 5 was a rescue that needed some love... For $50, it needed a home.

You're best bet is to save for the blem. There's a chance if you buy one on the classes it will need to go to the Rob spa to be right and that cost will put you close to a blem... Which operationally will be flawless and will probably have a blemish so slight you would never see it.
If you can try to put $10 a week away, you're only 3 months from vaping bliss.

Also...a little sage advice here..choose to ignore it if you wish but you're in REOVILLE man...and there are some pretty awesome folks here. If you would've come in here with the attitude that you know the Reo is what you need and desire but just don't have the means for it right now, you might have just woken up one morning to a pm from a kind soul offering to let you babysit their grand until you can afford one. I've heard of this happening before... I think you probably shot that idea to smithereens by now though. Keep in mind for next time... Perception is all in presentation.

Get more bees with honey kin'a thing.

Thanks,
Geo

My father told me, "wait and save for what you want, buying it twice will cost more." If you buy something else, you will still want a REO. You will eventually buy a REO and realize you wasted your money settling on something else. Its a shame I didn't listen to my father more...

It's hard to explain what its worth until you experience one for yourself. There is a lot that goes into developing, manufacturing, facilities, employees, and so on. Rob doesn't sit on the ground and carve them out by hand with a piece of free aluminum then spray paint them. I'm sure he has quite a big bill at the end of every month and for all his trouble I'd hate to see him running a non profit organization.

You would be MUCH better off buying a blem from Rob (Reosmods). Most people say they cannot even find the imperfection.
It is pretty rare to find a reo for enough less to make a lot of difference. Good luck.

Seriously, I was looking to buy a used a month or so ago. Cant believe people list used reos for new reo prices and they sell them in hrs. I could see $160 if the atty came with it, but $160 for a used mod when they sell for around that brand new is comical.

The thing here is that OP doesn't have money. That's understandable.

Unfortunately, to answer the original question, NO... There is no Reo Clone. And yourself loving clones as much as you do, you should notice that clones come up just days or weeks after the authentic launches. I'd like to venture to think that the reason no one has been able to produce a clone of this device (which is ~4 years old) is because of that... NO ONE CAN CLONE ONE. The device is just THAT good, OP.

Hunt down the classifieds just like we do. Save up some money and get one, just like we do. And sooner than later, you'll have your own collection... Just like we do.

And BTW... I've always wanted a Ferrari. ;)

Crazy, huh? And they sell them in just hours... :)

Reo's hold their value if they are properly maintained and not abused. The few parts that can wear out or break are easy and inexpensive to have repaired. Most of those parts are available on the site or can be gotten by an email to Rob. In most cases the postage for a round trip to the "spa" is equal to or more expensive than the cost of the repairs.

Things that loose value over time do so because using them wears them out, the electronics become obsolete or fail.

Simply put a used Reo that has been looked after is no different than a new one.

I empathize with the OP, I waited for months before being able to buy my first REO and thats why I will never sell it. I had been fortunate enough to discover them early in my vaping experience that I did not waste that much money before being able to purchase one. Early on it is hard to justify spending that amount of money on something that you are unsure of being successful at keeping you off of cigarettes.

"Clones" are a very controversial topic, I believe many "clones" are, for all intents and purposes, actually "counterfeits." I do not force my opinion in this subject on others but choose to speak with my wallet and support the original modder/manufacturer of quality products. I own a FastTech Nemesis and I only use it to build coils with and it never leaves the house, I intended to remove the engravings when I purchased it but never got around to it. I keep it now to possibly PIF to someone who needs it more than I do when that occasion arises.

I understand that many people may have been offended by the mere mention of seeking out a "cloned" REO but am thankful REOville kept things civil and offered solutions to procure either a "Blem" or a used off of the classified section.

ADDIT: There have been cloned REOs, plastic versions and metal rip-offs both unsuccesful. I dont have the links saved but if you dig through the sub-forum you will find them. I hope everyone who has such disdain for a "cloned" REO doesnt own any "cloned" RDAs....:?:

Are patent laws only affective in the US, or country of origin or are they world wide patents? How is china able to get around the patent laws to clone. I don't understand the laws I guess. I always heard a patent was a license to steal.

I just dont get it. I have seen antique gun shows and how during wars one allie would sell the rights of a gun patent to another country. How can someone just rip off a patent with out litigation. Or does the stuff being cloned not have a patent?

Been wondering about this for sometime now.

Being low on funds is something that most of us can understand.

Coming into the manufacturer's forum and looking for a clone source is utterly disrespectful. Bottom line.

Rob obviously had a good attitude about it with his post. On any other forum in the world you would get the ban hammer so fast it would make your head spin.

The vaping community is pretty lame as far as their embracing of cloned products, but it's a new tech and people are so wrapped up in getting the latest and greatest and so have to own 50 mods or whatever.

It's pretty ridiculous to those of us that are in Reoville. Most of us sold all of our other crap to buy more Reos. It's certainly not for everybody, but for a lot of us it works well. We would love for everybody to embrace the bottom feeder. It would make purchasing atties a lot easier, for sure.

The Reo is the end game of adults who have tried everything and arrived here.

Somebody coming in here and being all, "Oh hai!!!!111 I just blew my wad on a bunch of pretty battery tubes and see the love in Reoville and want one, but they're a big ripoff chunk of aluminum LOL!!!!!11 Hey suckers, where can I get a cheap copy of this thing???1111!!!"

What is that? Who does that?

The moderation on ECF is totally bizarre with what is acceptable and what isn't, but going into a sponsored manufacturer forum and doing this is like performance-art level absurd.

Sorry if I am being a downer. I just hate seeing this kind of crap.
