i see you brought out the big guns for the Vaper Profile thread. i'm not sure if i've ever seen pics of the other two, but that may juyst be due to Tesla OCD
No sadly, its just one of my better pics I took when I had them and wanted the tubies to be jealous. The other 2 went to Karen & Debbie. I decided to keep the REOs I helped made happen...oh and the WoodChuck because a promise to Lenny (lrd3) never to sell it.

not to be scared because your coolpix doesn't have location services on it. on most peoples phone pics, it is very simple to see exactly where you took the pic. almost the exact adress. all pics are encrypted with some info, some more than others. just fyi.

Crap I used my phone to take those pics. In my kitchen to be exact...
the gun guy will shortly tell you that it's in your kitchen, 5 inches in front and 3 inches to the right of the butter which is front of the toaster, which you forgot to return to the fridge, which, by the way, suggests that you need to make a run to the grocery...
long post, but i feel guilty and want to explain myself. i'm not a weirdo or a creeper, well maybe a little, but harmless. I am also a member of a photography forum. people ask how to improve their pictures, and people look at the settings which are encoded into the picture and are quickly able to tell you what settings are wrong and where you need to improve.
along with your camera settings, some newer cameras and most mobile devices (cell phones) capture the location as well.
if you are pulling pictures straight from your computer, all of the info that your camera is equipped to take in and is turned on (geo locating for iphone users) will be able to be seen by others. if you go through a third party photo sharing web site, the info diminishes. there is still some info available.
in the following photograph, a person was questioning their photography skills and or their camera. i copied the picture to my iphoto album and looked at the details so i could let them know how they could improve on their skills.
it even sounds creepy to me.
in the upper right hand corner, you can see where it shows the camera, the camera settings, the date and EXACT time it was taken. no harm no foul.
in this photo of my wife and i, and our mutt. we are vacationing in,,, well you will find out later. again in the upper right hand corner of the picture, it gives even greater detail of the settings of the device and its settings. notice there isn't an "assigned place". i have that turned off on my photography camera.
in this photo you can see what the picture was taken with, date and time, and now notice in the lower right???? location. everyone can see this if you put pictures straight from your computer to a thread, such as this. its not that big of a deal that its showing the pin-drop on Fort Meyers Beach, you still don't know where i was. right?
in this photo you could see where someone could start to get worried about people knowing where they are by the lower right hand corner of the pic.
yes, the one with the blue roof, the one where the pin-drop is literally 15feet from the porch of the house where i took the picture. and you know the coordinance now, so you could even look at it from street view from google earth. this one is not on the street so you cant do that, but you get the point.
this wasn't done with any "special" programs, this is straight from my unaltered iphoto library.
P.S. that is an ego 1100 twist with a wicked clearo in my pocket. not anymore

Thanks for that, I was a bit worried.
But no, I really don't. I am gluten free so have no need of a toaster on my counter and never leave the butter out. I do need to pick up some sweet potatoes to bake for dinner tomorrow night though!

Actually, I want to thank you big engine truck guy, I found the information very interesting. I had no idea of any of that. I even had my GPS on the phone turned on, so wasn't really sure what you would see. I am relieved to know that should someone want to come steal my new VVW's they are SOL.

I don't know how to make them big. I don't think I can take another one until I get a new phone, and I am broke from 1) REO purchases 2) Vegas trips 3) Trippy Tip acquisitions. It has been a tough week.
