I may strip it and re-paint. I have a feeling I was holding the cap too close when spraying.

I sanded, cleaned, sprayed and baked in a warm oven for an hour.

does the paint feel textured?

yeah! I am still considering hitting the body with gun bluing solution, but I need to test it on the other tumbled door I have to make sure it doesn't eat away the tumbled look.


Gun bluing solution...that sounds really awesome, be sure to post some pics....off to research gun bluing solution. :vapor:

Don't think gun bluing works on aluminum. Blueing is really just a controlled oxidation process, and I "think" it has to be done on steel.
