Ha, I did the same thing with the screws, those tiny set screws are a PIA.
Love my cyclone, I can get twice the vape between squonks.

Tiiiiimmmm :). Funny you say that man. I haven't squonked in the last like 29 or so hits because my cyclone is auto feeding :).

Filled the bottle a little more than recommend too before I bailed to this party but I'm also drinking coronas. Thank god for autocorrect. :)

Happy new year my brother :)

Hi Folks,

Soon as I take care of the Christmas bills and figure out what color, I'll be ordering a Grand. I'm coming from a different set up, so would appreciate some advice.
I'll certainly want to try the RM2, but I think also either cartomizers or atomizers. In order to get from what's orderable on the Reo page to something like this recent photo on your threadView attachment 292112

what would I need to get and what's the best place to get it?

Also, what else would you recommend for the first order?
PS Is the shiny one a mini, and what finish is it?
Thanks.

You have come to the right place :)

Congrats. Here's what I'd suggest:

REO grand (REOsmods.com) I think that one in the picture is raw aluminum.

RM2 (REOsmods.com)

Atleast 2 AW IMR 18650 batteries either 1600 or 2000 mah (you can get these at RTD vapor)

A charger - I'd recommend a Nitecore intellicharger i4 (you can get this at RTD vapor)

A couple of replacement springs for metal REOs (REOsmods.com)

A couple of short 1.7 ohm cartos (REOsmods.com)

A few feet of 30 ga and 28 ga Kanthal wire for your RM2 (REOsmods.com)

Head down to CVS and pick up a box of sterile rolled cotton in the bandage section for your RM2 wicks :)

That should cover it :)

Hey thanks. Didn't expect a reply so soon, or so thorough.

Two other questions [for the moment anyhow]:
(I'm coming from the tank world) So, the cartos or atomizers just screw into the 510 connector and that's it?
And I just get anysort of drip tip that fits 510 and push it onto the top of the carto/atomizer?
Is there any broad concensus among you guys about carto vs. atomizer on the REO?

One thing still confuses me about the REO: what keeps it from leaking? It's important to me to have some device that I can throw into my jacket pocket when I'm out, and I've been reading that you folks do. I just don't get the technology that keeps the puddles out of the pockets.

thanks again

Thanks :). Yep they just screw in. And yes, any drip tip for 510.

I think most of us agree that the RM2 is the best option.

The REO is leak free as long as you vape what you squonk and don't store it like upside down :)

You may want to start a thread here in REOvil with your questions and you are likely to get a dozen or more responses. This thread might not be the best one for maximum exposure :)

Terrific. I'm guessing the RM2 won't come with a prebuilt coil. I never built one, and know that I'm gonna want to start vaping the moment my stuff arrives.
So, with that in mind, between the cartos and the atomizers (Smokteck or Em-LR), any general agreement on which work better on the REO?
That was a very helpful video.
I'll wait for a new thread when I finally get the equipment.
Thanks again:toast:

My man, building an RBA is so much simpler than you imagine. Trust me, I'm a poster child of incompetence when it comes to anything like this and I excel at RBing As :)

I have a sticky thread above or below that takes you thru a photo step by step build.

Here's a couple of videos too :)
Basics:

Coil build:

You can do it and it's a game changer :)

I like the Stainless short 1.7 ohm cartos Rob sells but after using RBAS it's hard to use a carto :)
