You mean they make a Sashwa #78 too.

Guess I'll take a ride to home depot tomorrow and see if that helps me with these.

Take your Woody with you, you can carefully open these pkg's up and try them and just get ones that will stretch over your Atty and yet still be able to push down and barely fit in the edge of the cup that is open and make sure it covers that opening and your good to go Sashwa

But but but...Robert told me I couldn't take woody the Redwood Burl outside with me. Good idea, I'll do that.

Isaac just started a thread about the Cannons and 5Cards just posted a tip I'm going to try when I get up enough courage to retry my 2.0 Cannon. He said his were leaking because he was overfilling them because the bridge looked dry. He said he tried turning his pv upside down to wet the bridge and now no leaking or dry taste.

this is a great tip - but our home depot was blown away in the joplin tornado, but the lowes is still standing. when i looked on their (lowe's) site for the danco o-rings it listed them by size and inhouse part/model numbers so, could you tell me what the measurement equivalent would be for the mini reo - danco #78?

btw, i went on the home depot site to see if it gave measurements, but i didn't see any.

here's a link to lowe's o-rings if that helps.

Using O-rings on you Reo's !

I happen to stumble upon this trick today just trying to find a way for the juice in the catch cup not to spill out any longer and while doing this also found it makes the Reo's self feed as well as giving you the ability to adjust your draw by how tight or lose you apply your O-Ring over the catch cup, push it down further = tighter draw, loser = lighter draw ! The O-Rings I am using are posted below and all available at Home Depot

Reo Min = Danco #78 = w/510/306 ,, Danco #83 W/801 or Cannon
Reo Grand = Danco # 83 with Cannon/801 ,,,#78 w/510/306
Reo Woodvill = Dnaco # 78 = w/801

OK so using these with the Iken Cannon Atty's : Here is what this does, slip the Danco O-Ring over your Atty down the tube until it sits on the top of the catch cup. The more you push down into the catch cup the tighter the draw and vice verse for a lighter draw. You will find 2 things that now happen while using the Danco O-Rings 1st your Reo will no longer spill any juice out of the catch cup which is a nice plus for when your carrying it around or want to set it down on your cars passenger seat like I often do. 2nd these O-Rings pretty much make your Reo's into a self feed system now with the O-Ring on your Reo it creates a vacuum affect an when you take a pull it will now self feed your Reo, once in a while you may have to squank the bottle but overall I'm finding they now self feed with the O-Ring which is super. This will also work for those who use 801 Attys. It will also work with 510/306 Atty's by using the # 78 O-Ring with 510/306

This really works super anyone using a Reo I suggest you try using these O-Rings over your Attys down onto the catch cup it's an overall win win situation :2cool:

disregard that last post -

a friend found pics of the packaging that shows the measurements:

and just in case the images don't come thru - here they are:

#83 1/2 x 5/16 x 3/32
#78 7/16 x 1/4 x 3/32

Would you happen to have a pic of this O-ring installed?

Your best way to a timely answer would be to pm Matt (mwa102464) he is a fountain of knowledge, and loves spreading the info to folks that are intelligent enough to listen to him. :2cool:

He actually just PM'd me about this so I had to scurry over and look it up in the thread. :) I'm gonna run to Home Depot tomorrow and who know's come home with a shopping cart full of O-rings :)
