Hey guys. I received my atom bomb today, can someone here tell me is the center post supposed to be fixed or move all around? Mine is the one with the bent wire for the positive terminal and it moves around really easy. Just wondering thanks

It's supposed to be like that. Basically it's a heavy guage silver wire fed from the positive connector, through the body, up to the part you can see. Simple, but effective.

Virginia is for vapers
OK - been working at this for some time - I should have NEVER pulled the wick and coil from this AB. Now I am not sure if my wick is wicking, because I can't get the thing to fire long enough without shorting to find out. I am very perplexed, as I am not exactly a novice at this considering all the other genis I have... How tiny the wick has to be to not short out on the wick hole? Frustrating...

[EDIT]
OK - upon further investigation, the wick is not shorting out on the wick hole at all. I attach a piece of wire from terminal to terminal, and it still shorts every time without a wick even in it. This also eliminates the possibility that the coils are shorting on a wick. I also found that the center terminal post turns very freely and actually just lift freely completely out of the atty itself - it is just free floating in there. Is this how it is supposed to be?

I would PM Chopper, I'm sure he will take care of it.

To all with the center post issue. Its not suppose to move around at all. They are soldered in on the bottom of the connection.Mishandling them will break that solder joint.I say that because its the only way during testing I could get one to break free.I wrapped and unwrapped a wick on the tester one and could not get the solder to break just by wrapping the wick.If you are able to cut a small slit in the positive post so when you wrap that post the wire won't move up and down. That's where the short comes into play.If you are getting a short move the positive wire up and down the + post and you can get the short worked out. These things are not that hard to get going with some patience and some working with.Other then breaking in the wick when you first get them. They are ready to go all coils fire evenly red and no shorts.I'm in no way saying anyone in the previous post are doing anything wrong.I'm just stating they need no adjustment when you get them other then the wick break in.If anyone needs help PM me or go to my website get my phone number and please call me for over the phone help.

I received an Atom about two weeks ago. Same type of problem. I couldn't get it to fire on anything. I would like to know the solution also.

Did you get it from me because I have not sent any Atoms out for some time.I've been sending out AB instead for over 3 weeks now I believe.
