Hello,
I have been posting some questions about mechanical mods and got very useful information from senior members. I want to move to a mechanical mod for following reasons.
1. The basic, ego type kits I used so far didn't give me a good vaping experience. Leakage with automatic types, charging, discharging issues with manual.
2. Whenever there is a replacement needed, I have to pay ten times as it costs on fasttech , we have few options in India.
3. I vape 3ML a day. The basic types I have been using don't support that.
So I thought I should move to an eTwist like thing, then thought a Nova MOD should do better. But I was not convinced as I have been troubled by what is available in India. Realized a mechanical MOD should be OK for it's doesn't require frequent replacements (thought there are indirect replacements), the battery is available with nearby store. I can always customize the coils.
I was suggested to get VV/VW Mod first, as mechanical mods have safety issues. I understand that. for example, if I use a 1 ohm resistance coil head and my battery supplying 5 Volt, or if I build a sub ohm by mistake, things won't be smooth and easy. But I was wondering are there a procedure, following a protocol that should help a first timer with a mechanical mod. So wanted to post here this question so that I can decide myself if a mechanical thing would suit me or not.
What are the primary safety issues with mechanical MODs and ways to prevent them?
Thanks in advance.
