If rock music is so bad then why does Christian music try so hard to sound like it?

Because, if you like rock, then they are giving you an opportunity to enjoy Christian Rock. Many Christians don't appreciate any Christian music that doesn't sound like hymns. I like the contemporary Christian music. To each it's own. There's nothing wrong with it.
