but...the docket watch is over? it's been part of my entire vaping experience

Thank you Julie and Sun!!!
:toast:

I know that the war isn't over- but I'm glad this case is pretty much close to being complete:)
Mine too, Chris. It was Sun's SE vs FDA thread that drew me into the ECF. I checked the docket every day for a month, before I decide to join.

What do we do now ??? Is it time for us to leave the forum and ride off into the sunset ??? :( :D

I didn't think about that in all my happiness---I think I'm gonna feel lost without having to check this thread daily. :?:

This is a little off topic so I apologize in advance. As an extremely grateful e-cig user and proud member of CASAA I just wanted to congratulate everyone on our victory and extend my sincere appreciation: First, to the outstanding and tenacious legal team representing Sottera - you people are the absolute best, what an amazing victory, especially considering the odds and the current anti-tobacco/smoking climate; next, to the exceptional board members of CASAA - Kristin, Elaine, Thad, Ron, Villa, Dr. Whit (I know I'm forgetting some people-sorry), your tireless and persistent efforts on our behalf have gone so much farther than above and beyond and it speaks to the character of each of you; also thanks to Drs. Michael Siegel, Joel Nitzken, and Brad Radu for giving so freely and enthusiastically your expertise and support of this technology, as well as Bill Godshall who also has fought and continues to fight tirelessly for the cause - though Bill and I disagree on some things, on this thing we certainly agree and I appreciate greatly all his efforts on our behalf; and finally to every member of CASAA and everyone who posts on ECF as well as the board of ECF for providing and efficiently managing the forum - every person who has written lawmakers, posted comments, researched and posted pertinent links so the rest of us could learn and remain abreast of the technology and the science; Sun and Julie who very ably and cheerfully kept each one of us up to date on this important legal battle; every person who posted and so willingly shared their thoughts and feelings and graciously helped newcomers and contributed to our ability to feel solidarity and persevere. I am very grateful and proud to be a CASAA member and a participant on the ECF forum - I can think of no better class of people with whom to associate - Thank YOU ALL!

Wiz, the FDA decided to end the court case and regulate e-cigs as a tobacco product, not a drug/device.

This round is over and won.
Jerry.......Since my previous post I have had a chance to read up on what happened. Seems like a win for e-cig users. My only concern would be higher prices at the e-juice pumps and the future of online sales of juice. It seems to read as if the devices and products will not be impacted like e-liquid(with nic content)will be. I would either hope for some new brick and mortar establishments in my area or buying the crappy stuff being sold locally in my area.

My other option would be to move to Tennessee and live across the street from Steve at Puresmoker.

I'm definitely not going to panic and stock up on juice like would have 2 years ago.

:)Wiz!

Don't worry about withdrawl, guys. I'm sure we will very soon be starting an FDA watchdog thread to keep tabs on regulations the FDA will be trying to sneak in. We still need to fight for reduced harm/modified risk status and watch out for attempted regulation of bottled liquids, non-tobacco flavors, nicotine strengths, indoor use bans and unreasonable taxation on both the federal and state levels!
