I will be careful. I will wear gloves when I mix it. I plan on diluting it of course. I ordered some of their VG and plan to get some PG from walmart or somewhere (I saw somewhere they sell USP PG at walmart)

I actually bought everything at a higher potency than what I expect to use because I figured I could dillute it and save money.

I also found out that the "Finity" is not as bad as I originally thought. Turns out holding the vapor in my mouth for a much longer period (say 10 seconds minimum) makes it actually effective.

Now im dieng to get a shipping notice on something!

Holy sheesh I say "I" a whole lot !!!! hahaha

I hate to keep replying to myself but I have a question

Are the chargers & threading for the clearomizers the same between the joyetech eGO (cigar size) & joy 510 (cigarette size) ?

I thought I saw that they are interchangeable but I want to be sure, I am thinking about grabbing a 510 or some other cigarette size battery just to have as backup or when I want to be really discrete.

Thanks!

OK...I know you said that you would be careful and I believe that you will...but I do want to stress, one last time, how dangerous high-strength nicotine is.

I'm thinking, from reading a bit about your history here, that 12mg (1.2%) would probably be a good starting point for you. DO NOT go above 36mg / 3.6% as that is very strong and when you go above about 42mg / 4.2%, you get into serious danger territory. As I understand it, vaping 50mg / 5.0% would likely be fatal...it would certainly make you very ill. Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor which means that it reduces blood flow and increases blood pressure.

Measure your fluids very carefully and double/triple check your math and measurements. Ask in the DIY section for help with and for confirmation of your calculations. It would suck if you poisoned yourself in an attempt to get off of the cancer sticks.

I started with a Volt cig-sized almost 4 months ago and they work fine to get off cigarettes. You need at least 2, and 3 or more is better. I found the "feel" was similar to a cigarette and that might help some to overcome the smoking addiction...at least I think it helped me. I have moved to the larger X2 batteries, but still use the cig-sized when I'm out and about. I still think simple is better, so I use cartomizers almost exclusively.

The threading is the same but the chargers ARE NOT. You can use a 510 (mini batt) charger to charge an eGo but it will be a bit slow as these are rated in the 220-240 mAh charge current range. The eGo chargers are in the 420-500 mAh range and would destroy a 510 mini battery (possibly with explosive consequences). If you get both, be sure to mark them so you don't get them confused.

Several shops sell "min-egos" which are about 350-400 Mah, only a few bucks, and will use the 420 ego charger. They also sell mini attys and cartos for them.

Altho a 510 series battery, the Joye 510 isn't very popular. I think the 808 batteries are probably more reliable. Smokeless Image sells the most around here.

I have training in pharmacy compounding so I should be good to go. I will be vary careful though. I am actually kind of interested in seeing if their is a pharmaceutical resource for liquid nicotine and if I can get it. If so, I wouldn't mind making my own juice entirely with all pharmaceutical grade ingredients.

A mini-eGO sounds good, especially since it would use the same charger/clearorizer as the twist eGO.

Heck, now I want the 510 with its own charger juts for the cigarette feel and the mini eGO for my backup "ill throw that in there incase I ever need it" use.

Do all of these devices; 510, mini-eGO, eGO all use the same fitting for the clearorizer. Is that like a standard fitting between all for the clearorizer/tank/cartomizer

P.s. is the clearorizer pretty much what everyone uses now-a-days? Are there any benefits to the other juice holders/wick things like the tank or whatever else is out there?

Im gunna wind up spending a small fortune!

\Good news: Vape Dojo shipped my order! So if anyone sees this in the future BOTH vapedojo.com AND Xtremevaping.com shipped the same day I ordered (given I ordered early in the morning)

Hopefully I will have my very first eGO to use by Thursday!

    Now, Questions:

Does anyone know if I need to purchase a collar to go with the eGO twist battery (i.e. they do not come with one?)

I watched a youtube video that says a clearomizer or an e2 can leak if turned upside down. I need something that can be thrown in my backpack with no worries. Does anyone have a recomendation for something that will fit this role, it doesn't have to be my main system, but I need something that is portable when I go to class (I need enough to last about 6 cigarettes worth). The guy said the 'phoenix" does not leak? Anyone??

I don't think your Katana with the CE4 will leak, but to be safe, get you a hardshell sunglasses case from the dollar store to stick it in. I carried my eGos in my purse, and always just kept them in the glasses case. It'll also be big enough to carry your juice bottle....and even the usb charger if you wanted.

Also....you should definitely visit the DIY forum here.....it's just FULL of juice recipes and tips and tricks of mixing your own juice. I DIY all of my own juice, and it makes vaping sooooooo cheap you wouldn't believe. With the money you'll save, you can have as many new "toys" as you want!

I'm glad you picked up one of those Katana kits.....the price just can't be beat! You still need one more battery of some sort so that when that one is charging, you're not left high and dry.

You are going to be AMAZED at how easy quitting is going to be when you get an effective kit. I smoked for over 40 years and have been totally quit now for 2 & 1/2 years. Easy peasy. You couldn't pay me to smoke a cigarette now. Vaping is so much better in every way. In that 2 & 1/2 year period, I've tried to smoke a few times and it was just really, really disgusting. Good luck with this, and keep us informed. DIY E-Liquid Here's the DIY forum.

I don't think you'll need one. That kit comes with everything you need to start except the juice. I think the CE4 you're getting fits snugly on the eGo battery. I think a collar wouldn't even fit with it.....not sure.

Remember to let the wick in the cartomizer get good and wet before you hit it. After you fill it with juice, let it sit for a few minutes at first. There's not much worse than a dry hit.... :)

    I'm excited for you!

EDIT: Wanted to add, that battery you're getting (650 mAh) should last at least 4-6 hours between charges....even with heavy vaping. Plan accordingly. It doesn't hurt to charge it at any time....you don't have to wait 'til it's run all the way down. I alway charged mine overnight.

    Thanks for the input!

I also plan to order an eGo twist battery as well, that is what I am talking about the collar for. I also plan to get something small & portable if I think the katana is too big.

It seems like the only leak-proof thing is a cartomizer of some sort, since I am ordering from myvaporstore (unless somebody knows somewhere cheaper) they have the stuff on this page:
    510 Cartomizers

If I need something leak proof, what do you all recommend?

Basically I need a set-up that I can throw in my backpack and it be okay to be turned upside down and what-not. I can get something to put the clearomizers inside of but I don't want to be dealing with a sticky mess on a regular basis.

    I agree with Ryand.

A good start is an Ego from a place like gotvapes.com. I just helped my sister put together a kit for my nephew for Christmas for under $100.

    -2x Ego twist
    -Charger
    -5 pack of cartomizer
    -Vivi Nova mini
    -extra Vivi Nova head
    -Ego tank/ring adapter
    -juice samples

This is along the lines of what I got when I started about 2 months ago, it worked well for a pack-and-a-half day man (me).

    3. I am not interested in flavored smokes of any kind, in fact flavorless would be fine

Then, *cleanest* vape you're gonna get, with no flavoring is:
Intellicig ECOpure flavorless (intellicig and I think Cignot have it). Also have tobacco flavored called Ecopure Regular and Ecopure Rich. (Look at the reviews, nobody ever suggests it but is great stuff!) BWB Malty was fashioned after this juice, a little tidbit some do not know.

    or

talk to John at Wizard's lab, ask for unflavored nic solution in whatever mg you want and ask for the ICE version (smoother)
Orb Vapors is also nice and clean and getting good reviews (organic stuff).

I don't think you are selfish at all, I'm really happy for you that you are ready to embark on vaping. Everyone here will be knocking themselves out to help you, esp. knowing that your lungs are acting up on ya.

I wish you the very best of luck. My vote for newbies is always the same, ego twist or spinner with a few cartos and a few clearos/or vivi nova mini tanks. :) Will get ya started just fine.

If you don't mind me saying this, there are also certain vitamins that are known to improve lung health so get some. Here are the biggies:
    Vitamin D (critical!)
    Vitamin C
    Vitamin E
    Zinc

I am confused at all these revisions and stuff

Are all cartomizers made by the same people? The vape dojo's has their name in fron of theirs

Then I see some that are Vision Ego V2 & CE4 plus V2. What are the difference in these?

Vapedojo is even advertising a rebuildable CE5?

First, the cartos at MVS are about average. If you buy there, Google "myvaporstore coupon code", choose the RetailMeNot link and use the best discount code that will work on your order.

The revisions confuse everyone because they are inconsistent (I think they just make them up).

Probably 90% of the cartos are made by Boge or SmokTech. Some vendors have deals to put their names or logos on them...and some actually have deals to produce specialized cartos just for them (i.e. Ikenvape platinum...which are very good).

Again, the revisions are kind of hard to judge. You have to read the descriptions and become familiar with the product to see if the one they are selling is the one you want (or the newest version). I am not familiar enough with the Vision eGo V2 (are you looking at the Spinner ?). NONE of the eGo batts from vapedojo are genuine JoyeTech (very important for the eGo Twist).

CE4, CE5, V2...again, you really have to know the product AND the manufacturer. If all they say is CE# and does not specify the manufacturer, you are totally guessing because you have no idea who's CE# it is...and they all number them according to their marketing departments dictates :). The ones at vapedojo are just this type...no name...so you don't know who made them, if true Vision (original manufacturer of the Stardust / CE4) heads will fit...anything. Get them from HoosierECigs...their the real deal Vision 2.0 Ego Clearomizer w/ replaceable head . They also have cartos so you don't have to buy from 2 stores (saves on shipping). Use coupon code "5off" for 5% off. Note that you do want to get the rebuildables because you can replace just the heads for about $2.30 each instead of replacing the whole thing for $5 each.

GoodProphets sells genuine JoyeTech eGo Twist batts for $28. Use code "TVCFriend" for 5% off (may not apply to the Twist but worth a try).

I'd second a notion on the Vision Spinner if you want a bit more battery life. (eGo Twist I've only seen at 1000mah and the Vision Spinner I got is 1300mah) And Madvapes sells a kit that has the Vision Spinner 1300mah and charger for 26 bucks. Vision Spinner Kit

It has an option to get the Vision eGo Clearomizer added to it as well but I wouldn't. It's the disposable version and in the long run the rebuildable one will save you more money. I run the Thor rebuildable but it's identical to the Vision 2.0 eGo Clearomizer. Vision Stardust 2.0 Rebuildable eGo Clearomizers [Vision-Clearo-2.0] - $4.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

Those are really easy to refill (No syringe) and instead of spending the money on a whole new clearo, you usually just need to replace the wick (Easy to do, it screws on and off and your done) which they sell 5 packs of those wicks for 2.99. Vision Stardust 2.0 Replacement Coils (2.4ohm) [Stardust2-2.4] - $2.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

You may have guessed it but I am becoming a Vision fan, everything I've gotten with the Vision logo smacked onto it has preformed fantastically and without issue.

As for flavourless juice, those are all over the web but for some reason can't think of a site off the top of my head. Must be because I am sick.
