BTW- How much does a pack of cigs cost you in your area? I am curious.

We have just had a recent special government tax put on all cigarettes increasing the price quite considerably. I smoke roll you own ....and it costs me $32 a packet of 50 gm tobacco (Windfield Blue). That about $US33. A packet lasts me about 11 days and I smoke about 10 rollies a day.

Prices vary from state to state in AU and pack sizes vary too, but where I am (Tasmania) cigarettes are about 50 cents each.

I would pay about $5 for 1 pack. I would smoke 1.5 to 2 of those packs a day!

Holy Cow! That is high! Actually that would be about $10 per pack if there were 20 to a pack and many states here are $10 and up. I am in the south so it is the least expensive area.

uuum, If I use the condom method to fill my cartomizers, won't there be a bit let over in the condom?
How do I save what's left over?
It would be a bit messy trying to pour it back in the bottle, wouldn't it?

Not really. The condoms are flexible so you could squeeze it back in there. Once you get the hang of it you will not have any left in the condom because you will know exactly how much to put in it

Won't the juice go bad if the air gets to it. Maybe I could make some sort of top for the condom with the little bit of juice still left in it?

If your going to refill your carto in a day or two, the juice won't go bad. I do it all the time and some I have sitting there for a week or more.

In fact, air helps juice to "steep."

I just had my first vape with my new eGo Starter Kit and so far so good. I haven't had any bad reactions to it and I'll make sure I drink plenty of water.
I'm using the 510 Black Soft Top LR cartomizer and noticed that it only took a quarter of the condom cap to fill the cartomizer. It would not take any more because it started bubbling out of the top. I removed the soft top cap so I could see how full it was getting.

I had to have an analogue to calm down! ......

I forgot to shake the bottle of juice when I filled it using the condom method. I heard one guy refer to the condom method as the 'push method'. I prefer to call it the push method too.

When I filled the cartomizer , I let it sit for an hour before I vaped. And the battery in the eGo Starter Kit only took one hour to charge. The red light turned to green after one hour.

When I press the battery button , I can hear a crackling sound as though the juice is crackling. ...I don't know if that's normal?

It gave off a lot of vapor and a good throat hit.

The flavor was not too bad too. I used Tuti Fruti. It had a fruity tasted with a bit of a burnt taste to it, but not much. I quite liked it.

Crackling is good burnt means the carto is too dry and you may be burning the filler. It should take more than 1/4 of the condom on first fill It may surface to the top but that is because it needs to soak into filler I am SO glad that you did not have a reaction Now breathe deep and have some fun with the flavors

It should take at least 1/2 and maybe 3/4 of the condom to fill the Boges on first fill. Do not be discouraged. You will learn

One=quarter of a cap of juice isn't anywhere near enough juice. That's why your getting that burnt taste. Get more juice in that carto, don't worry about bubbling.

I think it's full now. I added more. I kept on pushing the carto into the cap filled with more juice and let it overflow through the small centre hole until it spilled over into the heating element. I still may not have enough juice in the carto yet. I may try and add some more. I don't hear a bubbling sound, so I definetely have not overfilled the carto.

Since adding more juice , there is no sign of a burnt taste now that I can tell.

Well, I'm going to take it easy for now. I love the vaping but I will still smoke my analogue in between vapes till I'm well and truely settles down with just only vaping. I may have to order some nic juice so that I get a more satisfying hit but , I don't know. I'll wait and see. I have enough supplies to last me quite a while and 3 good flavours to make vaping enjoyable.

Now I have included a pic of my PV and the end caps off my cartomizers. You will notice that the bigger end cap has the plug removed ( it fell out). I may use the bigger end cap to fill my cartomizers as it holds more juice.

And the black cover in the middle suppose to be a protection so as the batter button isn't acidentally pressed...isn't it?
well, I can figure out how it works.
