That air hole sure looks familiar on the mini.

Help guys I'm SO frustrated!

The deck won't come off/unscrew!

I've put it in the freezer, used Irwin Quick-Grip with vise Grips...
Tried turning both ways and believe it's turning (juice channel for sure) but never unscrews!!
Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong :(

I had a very similar issue. What works best is to make sure the juice flow control is all the way up/open. The deck should unscrew easily. The weird thing is I was able to screw in and unscrew the deck with the JFC closed all the way down before. Now I have to have it completely open to remove the deck. The tank functions well and the flavor is top notch, but the design of the JFC is my least favorite thing about it.

I will try this next wick. Thanks

I would advise to trim a small amount off of the bottom of the wick that's sitting in the channel. Then lift out maybe 1/4-1/3 of the wick that is also in the channel from the left side and tuck it back onto the deck. Very important to never press your wicks to where they lose fluffiness regardless if in channels or not. A very light press and tuck is all you need to where nothing is caught by the JFC when it screws down. I never get dry hits unless I didn't notice my tank being empty. I run a 60vg/40pg in mine. If juice is thicker I would trim up and set less cotton in channels.
For people having leaking only while filling due to the jcv not closing all the way, I took the extra base o-ring from the packaging and placed it at the bottom of the juice channel. In the picture you can just see it. It seals great and no more leaking. Still no issues wicking even with thick juices. I would imagine that you could rip that ring up over tightening the jcv. But be gentle and you should be fine.

I love this tank and the extra o-ring saved it!

I've found that proper wicking is by far the most crucial to combat leaking. I use no extra o-ring and use a 60vg/40pg juice as my ADV. In my experiences with this RTA, the majority of leaking occurs after filling. I've made different adjustments to my wicking through 4 separate builds. Now all I need is a burp to be safe and I'm set. There's a little seepage from time to time only after filling, but no longer a 1-2ml gush. Vacuum from opening the top fill cap collects juice into wick and may fill the deck. Filling forces even more juice into the deck and once the cap goes on, the juice has to go somewhere. If wick placement is sitting too close to airhole then you will more than likely get a leak. I get a super saturated vape for about 3-4 long draws and it's back to exactly where I like it. Never dry hits and no leaks or seeps after.

Same size, but the airslots outside are roughly about 20-25% shorter across. The airflow of the Serpent mini is actually more restricted by about that same 20-25% as compared to the original.

When you say restricted do you mean the airflow?

Yes, I will edit inmediately for clarification. Thank you for noticing!

I've had a couple days with my new Serpent.
As someone who has little luck with fancy twisted or dual coils, I had looked long and hard for a tank that would compliment my ST mini, which is my favorite tank.

The Serpent is quickly becoming my favorite tank.

I, like many, experienced leakage after filling.

The tip of closing off the juice flow, turning upside down, and opening the juice and putting on mod has solved the leakage.

I have a KangerTech Protank 2 which i've dropped like a zillion times ,but the glass never fail me

Beware peoples ! The Serpent's glass is a lot thinner and weaker than it look ,be extra careful around it

Oh well ,this is the first and will be the last time i use a non modular RTA...

My heart sank yesterday, my first day with the tank, as it fell of the table onto the tile floor.

I guess I got a lucky break because it wasn't harmed at all and left me planning on being more careful, but so far impressed with the build

Guys I have a question. Now it may of been posted here and I missed it, but does anyone know the size of the grub screws? Mine are all stripped or getting close, and I'm in need of replacements. There's a Fastenal in my town, so I can maybe go in and pick up some, I just need to know the sizes. Many thanks!
