I saw this the other day and it's design grabbed my attention :) personally I prefer a single coil RTA. if a single coil RTA has adequate juice and air flow it can chuck out great flavor and clouds and not blow through the juice as fast as a dual coil tank...

lately I've been into the 528 customs Monster V3! awesome kayfun flavor with much more juice and air flow :) I have a feeling the Serpent will be in that class but, with juice control, and top fill! gotta like it ;)

Check it out :)

Just got my serpent from fasttech today, and thanks to this thread, got it built and running fast and easy, straight away added a extra oring to the base due to the reports of leaking.

Put a clapton on and was a lot easier than I expected, but knowing how to do it already was a huge plus, so far I have zero leaking, just laid the wicks on top of the deck, we will see if stays leak free when it comes to topping it up.

I am a MTL vapor, and with the airflow turned down, is working well for me, getting great flavor and decent vapor as far as you get with MTL.

I say the flavor is just as good, if not a little better than my hurricane's, and the serpent has top fill, unlike the hurricane, so extra points for the serpent so far.

Thanks for all sharing their tips on this thread, sure helped me out having a hassle free startup on the serpent :)

I ordered mine this past Saturday from Eciggity and received it today. Quickly wrapped my usual twisted Ti build (3mm ID @ .26 ohms) and it's producing some serious flavor. The airflow is plentiful and is what I expected. No leaks or dry hits after blowing thru a tankful. I leave the juice control wide open for my 85% VG DIY.

I seriously considered getting the EHPro Bachelor but airflow was a big concern for me so I decided against it, and I'm also not a big fan of sliding top-fill caps. I've never owned a sliding top-fill RTA but longevity/durability and vacuum pressure (or potentially lack of) concerns me.

My hunt for a dedicated single coil RTA with a spacious build deck and plenty of airflow for DTL is over (for now). Although the tank section on the Serpent can't be disassembled, that wasn't a dealbreaker for me at all...the protection which the tank section offers is a bonus. Overall this is a fantastic RTA...simple, really solid build quality, and it's just a fine vape.

Welp finally got my replacement serpent back. Here's a shot of the framed staple I put in it.

This one is better, but I've been getting an atty short on my rx200 every once in a while. But when it's working it's been an awesome vape. I wish I would have gotten the stainless steel version, it seems like the black ones are the ones with problems.

Just dry burned and rewicked Serpent after a half dozen tanks on my first build. It's been working flawlessly so I thought I'd post the build before I reassemble.

I never close the AFC or JFC when refilling, and have had zero leaks and zero dry hits with 80% VG juice (NET) and ~1mm wick in the juice channels. Coil is a Kanthal Clapton 26/32, 3.5 mm, 3/4 wraps, .55 ohm. Nothing fancy, but works really well.

    Hope this helps someone.

If it can be of any help to any body, I had to scrape the paint inside the base of my black serpent because of faulty reading resistance.

    To open the base:
By turning the 510 pin screw (clockwise) near completely, without removing it. Screw the base on the mod and the press fit base should unlocked itself. Maybe better using a non spring loaded 510 mod or working base/ohms reader.
Unscrew the serpent. Remove the 510 pin and pull both parts of the base.

Scrape inside of the upper part where it can have contact with the bottom part. You can remove the AF ring and clean/lubricate). Make the same scraping with the bottom part all around on top of it. I reassembled it by pushing both part together.

    Problem solved an happy !

For the wicking, nothing really special but even with hi VG I open the JC just by two turn (3 turn and half is full open). More than that can be good for chain vaping.

If somebody have a contact at Wotofo, it can be good to advise that they must change the painting method !

Hello, fellow snake charmers. My second Serpent arrived a couple days ago and today I retired my Kayfun 4 clone. This RTA is superb. I've tried multiple juices at various VG levels and wattages etc. and everything tastes great. Today I used some of the included organic cotton (which I've never tried before) and it's been fantastic. It seems no matter what kind of build I put in, or how careless I am with wicking, this Serpent performs like a champ.

On the RX200 with it's fancy new sleeve and matching drip tip.

Still no leaking problems with this one for me. Before filling, flip it upside down, wait for the liquid to flow down, then close the juice control. Flip it up right and fill it. Once it's filled and and the lid is back on, flip it back over and wait for the liquid to flow down again. Then open the juice control.

If you close the juice control with it upright, you will force liquid into the chamber.
