i watched a couple of videos before mine came and followed the advice for wicking. didn't leak a drop. i'm waiting on some rayon to give that a try, i've been using muji cotton so far.

I've never used Sally's cotton, but I have 23465345786311 miles of rayon lolI use Sally Salon Coil cotton with no problems.
On the third tank with my current build and wick. No a drop anywhere...

I've run a bunch of tanks' worth through mine now, too, and still not a single drop, not even a little one. I'm still on the same wick (AMAZINGLY!) and the flavor is still bright and clear. I used the twisted wire pre-made coil that came with it, just because I've never used a twisted wire coil before and I wanted to try it. I'm able to run it at only 30 watts (everything else I run at 35 watts), and I swear the flavor AND the vapor is better than my other tanks at 35 watts. The resistance is right around .5 ohms, so it's the same as my other tanks' coils, so why is this one so much better? Is it the twisted wire? (Do I need to learn how to twist wire now? LOL!) And would the difference in the way it heats, if any, cause the wick to burn cleaner and last longer? Of course, this could all be my imagination, too.
Typically, twisted wires require a little more wattage as they heat up a little slower, but if you're happy with what you have, don't change it. That lower wattage is likely contributing to the longevity of your wick. The twisted wire also has increased surface area and mass. Those factors contribute to the increased flavor and vapor.
Twisting wire is very much the easiest "fancy" wire. Measure out 3 feet, bend it in the center, put the cut ends into a drill chuck, hold on to the center bend with a pair of pliers, keep tension on the wire, and run the drill until the wire breaks.

View attachment 559839 Does anyone know what the tiniest o ring in the Serpents spare parts bag is for? Thanks!
Thanks! Hopefully others will know. Oh no! What's wrong with your Serpent?might be for the 510 pin. my serpent is on it's way for replacement or i'd check.
That's great! Hopefully you'll get it back soon. It's weird, I have a SS for months now & just ordered a black one preparing for the vapeapocolypse & comparing the 2 apparent I've been using the SS without 2 o rings & see the tiny o ring in the spare bag & can't figure out where it goes.it went ohm crazy, wouldn't hold resistance at all! there's an issue with the 510 pin i've read, that's why i think it's that o ring. vapor beast sent me a return label and envelope to swap it out, postage paid. big shout out to great customer service![]()

Nope the drip tip o ring is the little larger black one.I THINK it's for the drip tip, not 100% positive tho...

Hmm that could very well be. I even used a magnifier to see where it might fit.I think the tiny serpent Oring has to go on the 510 pin if you disassemble the base completely. I have not taken that apart on mine.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
