Not without being careful, mines brassThanks dwcraig1, that sounds promising. One question: I use to dry-burn my coils when I rewick them. Will the PTFE be able to whitstand that?
mrjohs, have you tried closing the airflow 3/4 of it? how's the airflow, is't still loose? Thank you.I have had a bit suboptimal experience with this tank with regards to MTL. The airflow hole under the coil is huge, so if the coil is not very big, there is going to be a lot of excess air flowing around but not hitting the coil. This will lead to a bit harsh vape when used for MTL.
I am expecting some PTFE tubing, outer diameter 5mm and inner diameter 3mm, which I will attempt to stuff in the airhole to see if it works better for MTL. Will report back when I have tried that.
thank you for your advice mrjohs! If you close the airflow too tight, the speed of the air as it hits the coil will be too slow, so you'll still end up with a harsh vape. It is better to restrict it in the airhole underneath the coil.
I'm just going to stop using the JC on my black serpent, o-ring fix worked for a bit, until I snapped the o-ring. Now I've decided to just leave the JC open when top filling, using high VG, and just fill quickly, seems OK for me.
The SS one seems to work fine with JC, no o-ring, and doesn't leak.
^ Nice wick job! that's exactly how I do mine and it always works spot on![]()
I've only filled it twice with the JC open, but so far so good. I used 85vg diy juice in it, so its kinda thick, maybe that is why.if i leave my JC open when i fill, it leaks like a sieve. If i close it and burp it, it's fine tho.
Yes, the "S" wick, when looking straight down. Plenty of cotton, tuck it to the side on decks, overlap the juice channels, but don't stuff any down it. Looks great WestPole.Yup, it's worked perfectly from the first build so I ain't changing nuttin.![]()
