I did finally find a limitation of the VV Box mod. It will run a 1.5 ohm DCC at the most 4.9 volts. Anything above that it voltage under load is 4.8-4.9v. Still very impressive, honestly I believe what you set is what you get. I may run in to variances of .05 to .1v, but i believe that is due to the sensitivity of the POT. POT barely needs to be moved to adjust .1v.

next run will be to test battery life, but I have some questions about how far to drain, and when to charge, how long to charge.

This runs 2 14900 900mah batteries. I know charged, this will be around or slightly over 8v. How far do i drain the batteries down before charging. Currently, the set is at 6.6v which in theory should be 3.3 per battery. So im guessing i should probably charge when it is down to about 6v? And how long should i charge, my charger has an output of 2v/600mah. Im guessing about 3.5 hours?

Also should I label them battery A and battery B and rotate them in the device?

Lemme know what you think

Well with dual bats, you probably don't want to run it below 6.4v. That's 3.2 per bat. I rarely run my 3.7s below 3.5-3.6, but that's a personal preference. I also mark all of my pairs of bats with a number or letter so they get rotated. None of my sets are the same so I don't need to do the 1A-1B, 2A-2B combo, but they are all marked 1 or 2 (or A and B to switch it up) and are rotated.

So what do you think about charge time?

oh, i didnt know, im such a noob, looking over a lil detail like that

Don't worry about it, man. Sometimes one starts thinking too analytical and overshoots something simple..kind of like what we talked about the other day. I do it all the time!

So you enjoying your new mod, I'm guessing? You crank it up much? Sounds like it has about a 3 amp switch on it?

Enjoying it very much, cant find anything to complain about, the 3 amp thing really only affects the 1.5 DCC. and even set at 4.7volts its a HOT vape. Now im trying to find an old flip phone holster and i can hook it to my belt. When im gripping it, it hides in my hand. I did push it to 6v on a 3ohm today, hot hot and quickly scorching it (it was an old carto), guess i will need to find me a 4ohm something so i can say i vaped at 7v

Or, a new 3 ohm at 7v should do the trick!

If I give bad info I appologize in advance.
Good advice: always name your batts and rotate. The batt closer to the work load will degrade quicker and rotating them keeps them "even" and prolongs life.
Good advice: pull batts off the charger when it turns green.
Real good advice: if you don't have one pick up a multimeter.

Here's the "iffy" part....hope I'm referring to the correct batt type...
Protected batts(maybe all, maybe not) have built in protection from over charging/over dis-charging.
I know the description when looking at batts will often tell you this. Good quality batts..aw fan myself, are worth it. I say this having just bought a yet to be named 18650 from Madvapes...lol.

So I got an email from SLB about this EGOV this morning. I have to say, other than the 650mah battery (passthrough though), this is a sharp unit. Larger mah rating coming soon. Look for this to hit vendors soon! Any thoughts on this?

Looks pretty slick, pics are always a bit decieving but looks pretty long for a 650mah battery. But if I do remember right SLB is the maker of the KGO, so that would be a positive.

That would be correct with the KGO. It is 114mm in length and 14mm in diameter..so that would be roughly 4 1/2 inches in length, unless I'm an idiot. So it's up there with the twist and all of that. I do like the power/fire button, but would prefer to see the LED more towards the top, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker. Probably wouldn't purchase anyway, but ya never know.

price? ....on second thought you lost me with SLB.

SLB is Sailebao. They are a tech enterprise (located in Shenzhen) that does R&D, marketing, development and manufacturing of e-cigs.

Don't have a price, they do wholesale, bulk selling at a 50 piece minimum for this little guy.

Good in concept, but that mah rating is just to low for trying to push up to 6v, no matter what kinda regulation/modulation it offers. Plus just like the Itaste, its a disposible device.

however, 6 volt capabilities is intriqing.

Yes, it is. Pretty sure this is NOT a genuine joytech product, but the realm of VV is opening up wider and wider. This trumps the iTaste with the exception of design. Although I expect Innokin to fix the iTaste with a new model soon..

I agree, but yet another option for those stuck on the ego design and compatibility. As far as the mah rating, I'm sure since it is also a passthrough, it makes up for that. Don't know anything more about it, but I suspect (as you just inferred) it won't hit a consistent 6v. But who knows until it's put out there..
