I have seen recent articles claiming that people can use their devices to abuse herbal ingredients, but I have never seen an article claiming that kids are ingesting nicotine liquid to "party". I'm still trying to wrap my head around how bad this short piece is. The link has been broken to prevent "Google juice". Remove the space after http:// to see the "news".

Well damn! How the heck are kids getting "high" from e-liquid?!? I know if you're not used to it, smoking a tobacco cigarette can make you kind of light-headed, but getting high from e-liquid? I don't think so. Also, they seem to think that "pina colada e-liquid" tastes just like a pina colada beverage. Uh... I don't think so! (Of course, I've never tried to drink my pina colada e-liquid, so what do I know...) Also, methinks the amount of nicotine needed to get a kid "high" would before that make him/her sick, with resulting vomiting...

Am I correct in thinking a certain chemist at the Monroe County Crime Lab is blowing smoke...?

Despite warning labels which say "do not drink and keep out of the reach of children," chemists at the Monroe County Crime Lab said teens in middle school locally are abusing liquid nicotine and using it to get high.

Really? Where is the chemists report, and how many teens have tried this?

Could this story (if you can call it that) be any more vague on the details?

I'll repost this here since Retired1 moved then shut down the other discussion that was opened on this subject.

I still want to know how a middle school aged kid buys something on-line without a credit card? And if they used a credit card how did they get ahold of it?
What it all boils down to is bad parenting. Plane and simple.

I imagine you can get pretty much the same "high" from eating Folgers Cystals.

That's a funny mental image. I LOLed. :)

Seriously, though, good point: there are about six gazillion ways for kids to get high and/or seriously injure themselves with commonly available products. The idea that e-liquid is unique or even remarkable in that respect is preposterous, but the general public sadly turns its collective brain off anytime the media rings the kids-in-danger alarm.

Very sad, and very disturbing.

Top comment when I looked at it - P Busardo.
This is a seriously stupid article, and just plain false. IF teens could easily get a hold of e-juice, what the heck would they do with it to "abuse" it and "get high"? I'll bet you the author's kid got busted with an Ego in his backpack, so she went on a mission and wrote a story.

I hate 13. This is the same station that did a piece on Popeyes running out of chicken that went viral on YT. They're always trolling on Facebook with stupid stuff. I'm not surprised they did this. Even my mom posted a link to it on FB tonight because she saw it and now she's freaking out thinking teens are going to drop dead by the masses from this. LOL I cannot.

I posted another a few minutes ago- didn't realize there had been one already- Its my local news and This stuff makes me so mad.
And before I get another report on this one, please look at the reason for locking the other thread. This one had already been posted. So instead of having TWO threads on the same topic, the newer thread gets closed with a link to this one.

Thank you.

Its not very good juice. I won't vape it and sure wouldn't drink it.
LOL, the only reason it's called Rock juice is because its in Rochester. I've never heard it called that until now. WHAM has always been into the whole Yellow Journalism thing...I do miss Rochester though! :)
