People are counting down.
I considered the Deeming Here once Posted to the Registry.
Everything I have done since has Been in Opposition to that Deeming and I will continue in Violation of their Rulings for as long as possible.

Should FDA - Callif/Zeller et al attempt to bring this to the Consumer level, I will be first in line in opposition...........if my legs are Fast enough. :D Something tells me there will be a Wall of Resistance.:thumb:

39 shopping days left :)
I do hope you understand that for the consumer, nothing changes on August 8. That is not the date that everything, or anything, is taken off the market. You are off by about 2 years. You can add 700+ days to your countdown.

It is not a good idea to create panic buying through misinformation, as that is what you are doing.

Unless you live in Utah. It's the states that can make things miserable, not just the FDA.
But that is not what this thread is about as nothing about state regulations has been mentioned by the OP. This thread is nothing more then misinforming people and creating unnecessary panic.

I don't think that's the OP intention. We do have a date of deeming and that is 8/8 so there is nothing wrong with saying how many shop days there is until then.

What happens on 8-8-16 is that all vape products are now deemed tobacco products, so states can tax them, not allow online purchase and or shipping for them, tax ejuice, require face to face sales and supply identification, etc etc. Nic base, who knows if that will even be available. I am avoiding all that by buying now.

Deem date 8-8-16 means everything vape is now a tobacco product, if you want to avoid new tobacco tax and some states adding restrictions on top of that, you have until 8-8-16 to shop. Some states are already enacting laws by July 1. No panic, just get what you need now.

That is completely false. The states could and did tax vape products before August 8 (a few states). The deeming does nothing to give permission to states that they didn't already have before the deeming. Essentially everything you are saying is bad information with no bases in reality.

Once FDA says vape products are tobacco products it changes everything for the states. they may not have known how to handle ecigs/ vape devices before, but now they know, they are tobacco products. This affects us all. States are jumping all over this fast. Sadly it is a downhill slide. We don't know how bad things will get on 8-8-16, yes we may have 2 more years of buying as usual but there is no guarantee of that. From now until 8-8-16 we have buying as usual for most states but not all as of July 1. Feel free to stock up or not your choice, but for many of us we choose to stock up now. My own state is discussing tax, they wanted to get the wording right first. Well FDA cleared up the wording for them since Deeming now says vape is a tobacco product. I am not waiting, buying now and I hope others do too. But feel free to do what you feel is best for yourself.

I have not been able to make a good banana cream pie and my fav was Hoosier ecigs V2 version, he has a great sale on right now until July 1 when Indiana goes dark on juice available.

You may want to try HiggyCigs. I'm sure she probably has a banana cream pie, and she's having a good sale right now. Just stick ".com" on the end of it and there you go! I hate banana, so I've never tried that, but I can vouch for the rest of her flavors.

I'm pretty good to go (says the girl who bought another tank, 15 minutes ago). I should have everything I need. I'll probably get another ltr of nic. But the one thing I have yet to get, are replacement screws. Lots and lots of replacement screws! Does anyone have a good site for screws? After that, I'll just buy what I want, until the FDA or my state, makes it impossible to do so. Luckily, Texas wasn't a part of the MSA, so hopefully it will go easier on us vapers.

I think many people are overlooking what is already written as law in the state they live in. I read everything I could in my State's books. For now it looks like vape products will need a special designation to ban mail order. It is illegal to ship via mail any actually made from tobacco product except for premium cigars and loose pipe tobacco. Not sure about RYO. They tried to ban cigars and pipe tobacco 4 yeara ago but it got shot down. Mostly because of industry and consumer opposition

Pipes and accessories can be shipped no problem so I assume mods and tanks are safe for now. I'm expecting ejuice to get lumped in with cigs and require face to face only. And tax stamps of course. Not sure when that will happen.

Our current Gov is small business friendly so that's a + for shops. However, zoning and licensing is going to be problematic for some shops for sure. It's kinda weird to see no buzz about what's going to happen come 8/8. I can't find any releases about what my State will require.

Stocking up is a no brainer in some ways. Stuff is dirt cheap and easy to get. I view buying stuff that you will definitely use as a positive. I'm getting close to done and it feels damn nice

Age verification for online purchases is going to be a pain. Especially if sig on delivery is required.

I don't think 2 years is what we've got left before anything changes for the consumer. The regs start progressively tightening down in increments over several target dates during the next 2 years increasing what is required of the manufacturer each time(link below).

My opinion is that each time one of the new deadlines after 08/08 approaches there will be manufacturers that drop out thus effectively limiting the choices that consumers have today. That's just the Federal level. Today is the day that both Utah and Indiana are effectively hosed as far as the consumer having a choice of what they buy. Arkansas consumers got hosed a while back on their ability to order their preferred juice from their preferred juice makers. I don't expect the other 47 states to sit back and say "Look at those crazy states over there banning what tobacco product a consumer can buy." I suspect they're taking notes right now.

I don't advocate "panic buying". That term evokes images of grabbing anything vape related just because it's vape related. But I do think it's prudent to methodically stock up on what you use and love now. Other people have a differing view point. And differing points of view are A OK. We each have to decide where our personal comfort level is according to our budgets and proceed accordingly.

I have been doing the same for my state, vendors will be required to have licenses to sell tobacco products and we have that weird extra law that manufacturers have to abide by and apply for inclusion in a tobacco group, then they are only allowed to sell off a master list of tobacco products, how vape will get considered as a tobacco product I have no clue and how my state will handle that. Everything is blurry right now on what the states will do.
