Should I just get a Provari?

VA, son.
I was gonna make a post asking about what mods you guys would recommend, but in typing a list of features that I want (mainly ruggedness) I realized that I was describing a Provari. I'm not a hobbyist and I really only look at what's available when it comes time for me to replace my current setup. Is the Provari still the godsend that it was when I started vaping, or are there cheaper alternatives now? I've become frustrated by eGos failing on me and I'm looking for a battery that I'll never really have to replace. Is the Provari worth its price, or am I just that behind the times?

Thanks!

Hi. How long have you been vaping? There are lots of cheaper vv and now they have vw also. If you want US made best product out there then yes go with a provari. Have had mine since they opened their doors and still going strong. Did send it back to upgrade to latest version(my choice) but other than that no problems at all.
Yes, they are worth the price. You can always look on the classifieds here on ecf, but you need a certain number of posts first and then there is a form(online and simple) to be verified.(no big deal). sometimes members are selling provari's for a number of reasons. Doesn't mean they are a bad product.

I had two different 808 cig-alikes. A lot of reading on these forums. Bought a Provari. I'm happy with it, even with my being a newbie (g). If you buy a Provari now, you'll miss buying all of those mods, having them break or you just deciding to try another recommended mod because the one you have is just not perfect/good enough for you.... then putting the old mod in a drawer and trying another one, ad infinatum... My next mod will probably be a Reo for something totally different (in addition to the Provari)! Now I'm just looking for decent juices!

I went from disposable Blu's to a Provari. For me, yeah, totally worth it. I wasn't interested in going through the vaping evolution of cigalikes, to eGo', to chinese mods, then to a Provari. Instead, I just got the Provari and will get another soon. Only you can decide if the Provari is worth it. My criteria were build quality, reliability, and customer service. The Provari nailed all three for me. There are other mods that do more than the Provari at a lower price. I'm not as lucky as most and usually end up with duds or break things, so I need reliability and customer service.

I regularly drop my Provari 3' onto concrete just to show it's durability. A buddy wanted to start vaping, I loaned him my Provari, he bought a Zmax. He now has 3? Provari's, no Zmax!
If you want durability, you get a Reo or a Provari! You want VV/VW, you get the Provari! Yes, you can buy 7? of the other mods for the same price. that's because you will need them!

price was my main thing, but provari had always been my target.. so i just put a little here a little there in my vape petty cash and finally had enough to buy it under the radar of course cash thru a vape shop.. cost a bit more but no credit card trail or missing the delivery guy worries... provape has it online ranging from 150-180.. ...coming from Evic and couple of ego twists i did not regret provari purchase one bit... vape is really consistent power ... ..............

i noticed my evic for some reason gets weak when it reaches below 60% batt. power..and eats up batt a bit faster ... so i just swap batt more often in the evic since it is so convenient with the built in usb port...that is why i went for evic the first mod coz of the charging convenience for home/car/work

Do your research on all of the mods you are interested in. Visit their sub-forums here on ECF and see what problems they may be having.

Then compare those to the Provari sub-forum; very few if any problems are reported. The owners here are happy, discussing what's on their Provari, what music they're listening to, new owners describing their new Provari's, etc. I think there is one owner that reported a problem, and you'll be interested in the result.

You can certainly find a less expensive PV that will suit your needs than a Provari. But if you can reasonable afford one, why wait? You'll likely get one at some point anyway.

Having said that you can do very well getting the iTaste MVP. I had one for a short time and enjoyed it nearly as much as my Provari's. I had gotten mine free in a raffle, so I loaned it out to a close friend who wanted to try vaping. I actually kinda miss it.

get a provari. i bought the new version a while ago and its a good starter mod. it stops shorts and i use it to set up my low ohm coils usually 1.0 or .9 ohm. it tells me exactly how much ohms and its very accurate. i use it to set up all my coils in case of a short on my mech mod.

i use ss avenger v3 usually .9 ohms on kayfunlite... i just dont want to have a short in there :)

To be fair, and I most certainly haven't been quiet about this! I did have a problem with my Provari as well! I had constant E1 and E3 errors showing up on mine. After working with CS we could find no resolve so it had to be sent in.
In it went, nothing, nothing, then it was on it's way back, but no response on what had happened! I had it back and it sat for a day because I was afraid to use it! The second day I used it, finally the third day I got a response as to the problem. Juice had gotten onto the board an corroded it, clearly my fault! But it was all taken care of under warranty, no questions asked, other than me wanting to know what happened!
Where do you send you're Evic, Vamo, Zmax etc.? How many questions do they ask? Would they cover something stupid, on your part, and take care of it? I don't know either, but I do know Provape will, and I know this for a fact!

There's no contract obligation as this just happens when you get a ProVari. It was like a bright light surrounded me when I first held it in my hand. :)
just be aware that if you get a ProVari you are contractually obligated to:
1) never speak ill of it
2) reply to any posts asking if it's worth it in the positive, preferably multiple times.
3) reply to any request for information about any mod with "Just get a ProVari"

One does not "Just get" a ProVari. One is called.
