I just put down 500ml of 100mg VG in the deep freeze. Plan on getting more. Just need to figure out how to mix it to be vapable.
So, your suggestion is for everyone to wait until they announce restrictions? Can you imagine the disruption at that point?
In my opinion, It's only a matter of time till the government will come clashing down. I'd say as of right now, we are all okay. But in regards to the future, who knows what can happen in the next few years or so. You don't have to stock up now, but be prepared to soon!
With all the hardware and liquids coming from China I don't see an all out ban but I am just a noob and know nothing. I can see nic liquid for retail sale being stopped, sort of like the ideas floating around Wash about banning guns.......just make it illegal to sell or make ammo for retail sales. Maybe a bit of paranoia.
With all the small companies in operation Wash. would catch a lot of grief about mom & Pop startups employing people. One thing the FDA is very interested in is what is used to make the ejuice and making mandatory what and how much of each ingredient being used put on the labelling along with expiration dates. I think that will definitely happen and is not that big a deal, but as for anything else its just a guessing game right now so follow what your mind tells ya. Stocking up on liquids is what I have done and also mods. There are tons of options that the FDA could implement, if allowed, and speculating is a waste of time, at least for me. I've got what I need for a long time and I'm 62 now. If the worst happens everyone who is worried about Armageddon should do whatever is needed (as much as they can) to elevate their worries. One thing is for sure, a lot of money could be collected in taxes if e cig hardware and liquids that concern E Cig only use, and money talks in Washington. I just don't see E Cigs being banned and still allowing tobacco products to be produced but like I said, I'm a NOOB and know nothing. It's a shame the E Cig industry doesn't have the power that Big Pharma and tobacco lobbyists have in Washington. To me, that is the ECig's biggest hurdle, being able to match up with the lobbyists, and I don't see that happening any time soon, if ever.

This is another reason why it is CRITICAL for everyone who vapes to join and financially support (to whatever degree they can, no matter how small) CASAA. And keep up to date with what CASAA is doing and what they are asking us to do to help in this fight.

There is another post reporting that it's unlikely that any action will happen in April. The head of FDA has recently changed (for unknown reasons) and that will happen in April. Even if the new head does go ahead with "deeming" (which is unlikely), there will be a comment period before anything can happen. So it looks like the biggest threat is coming from the local level with bans and taxes. That is something most of us can do something about.
Non-smokers don't understand e-cigs or have an interest in understanding them. They see "smoke". They hear the word "nicotine" and those two words put together equals something bad. Most ex-smokers don't understand why everyone can't just "quit" like they did. The currently known and "proven" treatments for smoking cessation have terrible success rates, short or long term, some have even worse side effects (Chantix) than smoking (suicide, heart attacks). They need to hear why e-cigs are so important to us.
Another factor I don't hear brought up is how much greener smoking e-cigs are than their conterparts.
I'd also like to know why cigars are not being considered a tobacco product.
The most effective way to make a concern known to an elected official is to visit them in person, individually or as a small group. Most websites will have instructions on how to make an appt and meet with them (DIY lobbying). Second most effective is a toss-up with a phone call or a personal letter.

I feel like we have been hearing these points being brought up a lot over the past 5 years, even at the beginning people where asking, I think for now its all good!

To clarify the Uk position a little, the generally pretty full-on anti-smoking lobby group ASH (who were instrumental in getting the smoking ban introduced in the UK) have a mixed position on this (and more reasonable than I might have expected):
"ASH supports regulation to ensure the safety and reliability of e-cigarettes but, in the absence of harm to bystanders, does not consider it appropriate to include e-cigarettes under smokefree regulations."
As always, the devil of any regulation would be in the detail. I think we all fear regulation would effectively corral the supply of juice into the ever grasping clutches of the major pharmaceutical companies (they who gave us the overpriced, utterly useless 'smoking cessation aids' which are okay for getting you through a plane trip, useless for anything else).
Stockpiling? Probably worth having a six or twelve month supply of juice to keep you going until the inevitable post-legislation bootleg supply chain gets up and running.

2 months after starting, i look around me, and everyone i knew who smoked is puffing on a PV. the cat is already out of the bag. no one can stop this . it has taken on a life of it's own. enjoy your lives as non smokers. stop sweating the small stuff. there will always be someone to find fault, or try to introduce legislation. we win with a jury every time. they cannot force us to go back to smoking.
