I am not sure if this has been brought up or not. I think our only hope is to have someone backing us that have money and more importantly political power to keep e-cigs legal. I know that what we are using is in direct opposition of what cigarette companies are currently selling. By now I would like to think that these major companies would like to genuinely look in to something that can help save lives.

I do not want to take any money out of our great supplier’s hands but wouldn't it be great to be able to stop in at a gas station and pick up juice and parts when we are in need. I think this would be possible if we had A Major Company distributing these products.

Most of us still have an addiction to feed and convenience would be the best situation. (for me at least)

I do not mind ordering stuff online, but If tobacco companies had their own E-cig products they would be under great scrutiny, therefore we could rest assured that we have a safer product than now. If you think about it, we take allot of info at face value without proper testing and making sure it is safe (safer) than analogs.

In closing (yes I know I have been all over the place) This may be our only saving grace is to try and team up with R. J. Reynolds or Phillip Morris. I never want to go back to analogs and if we do not have some to speak for us I do not think we will have any other opportunity in the future.

Just a quick question: Do you really believe the Big Tobacco Companies would actually do this and cut into their own pocket?..not to mention Big Pharma...they love smokers too...
It was in response to this and I didnt quote it.

I could see how maybe you think it was rude. Sorry it was so short it seemed blunt and directed at the poster.

Also I used the word stupid refering to tobacco companies (saying they are not stupid). I was not refering to the poster or any poster as stupid, in any way or form. It was a short post but there was nothing rude about it, its just the internet text only.

So what my statment meant is the tobacco companies are not stupid and if there is (no e-cig ban) and a large amount of people switch, they will sell e-cigs.

Now as far as pre emptive teaming up with them to keep e-cigs legal. Thats interesting. I think the companies at this point dont care either way about the ban, they will go with it no matter what.
Ban = Big-T wont sell em, we (us users) get from china only.
No ban but people switch, its obvious they will start to sell em in addition to their tobacco.

Hey, thanks for clearing that up... I see what you are saying now  and I am perfectly willing to go through china to continue my e-cig habit/obsession.

Screw big tobacco, they dont give a sh#t about people only $$. Better to have esmoking stand apart than get into bed with those scumsuckers.

I agree, but the bad part is if the e-cig gets approved (and a decent % of smokers switch - im guessing it will only take 1% of smokers to make a profit for them), the Big-T companies will be jumping all over e-cig retail.

Oh its going to be one hell of a fight!

We will lose over all but thats OK, the big-t companies will win the retail market but this new product (e-cig) gives other companies who are not huge, a chance to start up and make money. This is impossible right now with the current analog cig market.
Think how many people smoke and even if Big-t wins retail, it will only take a very small percent of smokers buying from our sellers to provide them with income.

I can just see the prices of our ecigs going sky high. Can't you just see the Nascar cars with Npro all over them? After they do all their studies and production proposals and blah, blah, blah we will pay dearly in the end. I for one have given them enough of my hard earned and stupidly spent money and don't wish to fund them any longer. And once the govt sees them making all sorts of money we will once again have the huge taxes shoved up our hineys AGAIN! My hiney is sore, I don't know about yours.

Well yeah prices will go high, but since they are ordering from china, we can order from china. The start up companies like Janty can lower their prices below the big companies prices to get customers and smaller locals can go even lower to draw income.

Yeah if you just sit there and take it, buying from the major companies with high prices you would be screwed, but since the people on this forum are in the "know" we wont make that mistake. We are not forced to buy them from the store, we can buy from china.

Buying analogs from china is not an option (its cheaper) but bulk cigs go bad, you need to sell em. Juice lasts longer and the hardware doesnt go bad.

Everything will be OK :)

Calm down, man. Ecigs are still legal and probably will be for quite some time. If the laws change, the method by which you acquire what you want will change.

I've said this before, but if worse comes to worse we'll all wind up ordering stuff online from China and hoping for the best. Oh wait....

An EVO sponsored Mitsubishi?! mmmmm......

The initial post in this thread came across as somewhat naive but I will answer the points.

The big tobacco companies are already well on the way with their plans and don't be surprised to see not just ecigs but licensed NRT ecigs.

I do not want to take any money out of our great supplier’s hands but wouldn't it be great to be able to stop in at a gas station and pick up Juice and parts when we are in need. I think this would be possible if we had A Major Company distributing these products.
There are already several ecig companies who are becoming big enough to take on that kind of operation and more will follow.

Most of us still have an addiction to feed and convenience would be the best situation. (for me at least)
We're just spoon-fed, bums-wiped consumers who worship at the altar of the ringing cash register.

Analogs have been tested, they kill, the Tobacco companies still sell billions of them despite the warnings - addiction is addiction and logic or common sense has been pushed aside.

In closing (yes I know I have been all over the place) This may be our only saving grace is to try and team up with R. J. Reynolds or Phillip Morris. I never want to go back to analogs and if we do not have some to speak for us I do not think we will have any other opportunity in the future.
Big T speaks for itself and will squash any opposition like ants if/when it wants to.

Now here's a question....why are you all pandering to your perceived addiction to nicotine? I have been taking part in an experiment and have been vaping nothing but zero nicotine liquid, a very clean one as well that is manufactured in the UK. After 5 days I feel bloody marvelous, physically, mentally and psychologically. I feel that instead of sticking my head out of the door then panicking 'cos bad uncle Nic was forcing me back in, I am now walking around outside in the sunshine feeling free as a bird. I'm vaping much less as the cravings are gradually getting less and less.
So, I say to all nic users, you are prisoners of your own choosing, but all you have to do to be free is just go zero. Nic has had us running scared for long enough and it's time we said 'no more'. If anything is going to change the way ecigs are perceived it is the fact that they ARE an aid to quitting smoking and to escaping the nicotine habit. Here's the big joke, it's so easy doing it this way - use ecigs, reduce nicotine, kick the habit with minimal willpower. Watch anyone who hasn't had a smoke for 'too long' and as they take that first drag there is a huge look of relief on their face - and that's before the nic has got anywhere near their bloodstream or brain. It's that suck-inhale-throat hit that gives the reassurance and it works whether or not there is any nicotine in it.
If any of you out there are up to the challenge than give it a try for at least a week and feel the difference, it's amazing! Those who are too scared to let go can carry on being chained to the habit and please don't anyone cite the 'nicotine can be good for you' stories, I heard all that from dopeheads who believed smoking weed is safe!!
I'll post this last bit in a new thread so it's easier to follow and people can add their names and success stories.
Alan, a zero hero!
