Got a pack of these in the mail yesterday. I love them. I always disliked cartomizers because it always seemed that their performance slowly degraded over time, and i was lucky to get 3-4 days of use out of them before the vapor production started declining to an unsatisfactory level. I've been vaping this thing for about 24hrs now and it seems to have "solved" everything i thought was wrong with a carto in the first place. Excellent vapor production that seems to be consistent and no degradation of performance. It vapes better than a carto and tastes better. I have no clue what the lifespan of these things are, but i'm optimistic. A couple of family members use them and say they get anywhere from 2 weeks to a month out of one with around 3 refills a day. That's pretty good in my opinion.

Anyone else care to comment on these? How much life have you guys gotten from them?

I bought the CE3's and the Nano's, The Nano's are decent but I have to agree with the sentiment that the CE3's are just downright amazing. Great vapor production, I get as much vapor from a short shallow drag as I get from a full length drag from the Nano. Filling them really isn't too difficult if you follow the directions and they have a nice slim form factor for my 808 stick batt.

I'll have to give these a try. Will they work on a Halo G6? I know those are supposed to be KR808D-1s, but I want to make sure before I throw money at these.

I can't say I've noticed performance degradation from the carts I get from Halo, but I will say that the ability to actually see when the cart needs to be refilled before I start getting "burnt" tasting drags would surely be a good thing.

Hey guys. I just got a pack of SI CE3's as well but im having issues with mine. With the 1st fill all 5 were great. great vapor no leaks etc. However on my 1st time refilling... The two I filled have a burnt taste as where they didnt before. I fill them exactly the way the SI video showed and i put 1ml or just under depending how much juice is left. What do you do when you refill? And is there anyway to clean the ones that have the burnt taste so that i dont have to throw them away?

I had the same problem on refill - had to take it apart and clean it. Worked ok after that - yah that dang dry hit is nasty......be careful pulling out the plastic tube - I was gonna use by battery - dang things are stubborn - used a bolt (not the device - lol)

Alcohol like vodka? I wouldnt do rubbing alcohol - just me. I soak mine in Vodka - but take em apart and soak em. If you dont want to take em apart - I think you will need to fill it with vodka like you would do juice and then have to get all the vodka out of there - it is really not that difficult to take em apart - here is a youtube vid of a CE3....

Im still tryin to figure out why I got a burnt taste after refilling... Is it possible that theres some primer left even after a full fill has been vaped?

OK now I have a 3rd one tasting burnt... I just vaped it a few minutes ago and when i vaped it again its tasting burnt... What is goin on with these? I'm doing anything crazy. I'm just using a regular Volt auto battery from SI.

If you get a dry hit from these, it is because the liquid is not wicking properly into the coil. The CE3s tend to have this issue if you either overfill the unit, have too thick of a liquid, or have air bubbles trapped in near the coil.

i think i may have burned it after refilling. i noticed when i was refilling one of the ones that hadnt burnt yet that after i inject the juice, there is an air pocket at the bottom. this can be fixed buy giving it a few puffs w/o a battery on it to set the vacuum seal back up, then just let it sit for a minute or two and so far that one has been working great. the other 3 i spoke of last night are more or less ruined because i hadnt done that with them.

I'm also having the same issue with my SI CE3's. But honestly, I only used 3 of them as I got em 2-3 weeks ago.

First time I fill them they are the greatest thing on earth. The first one I tried actually did well for a week or 2 before starting to give a burnt taste. But the 2 others I started to use a couple days ago gave me a burnt taste after the first refill.

I noticed that a small bubble comes out from the hole after every puff, so I thought that maybe some air was trapped into the middle tube and take a few puffs without turning on the battery(Volt X2 1300 mAh manual from SI) but doing this only gives me 1 or 2 good puffs before the bad taste comes back...

As of now I'm only using SI juice, so I guess the thickness of the juice is not the source of my problem, and as I make sure I can see a little bubble coming out from the holes of the middle tube before taking an other puff, I don't think there's any air pocket trapped inside the tube. I fill them properly with stopping just before the liquid reach the holes of the middle tube.

I'm doing the exact same thing I did with the first one that lasts over a week, but now they seems to taste bad after 1 or 2 refill.

Any idea on what the problem could be?

In case anyone is using the Mistic battery with the CE3 Cartomizers

I'm using the Volt CE3 Cartomizers on the Mistic (a KR808D-1 style battery) and after a leaking problem at first, I am LOVING these cartos sooo much.

The thread depth is different. It's deeper on the battery than on the CE3, so there's a gap between them. Not a big deal UNLESS, like me, you screw the CE3 down too tight and end up pushing the contact end of the CE3 up and break the seal causing the liquid to slowly leak all over the battery! Whoops!
Good news is, I found a solution. A BACKSTOP! I would love to find a rubber gasket that just the right size but a small black bread bag twist tie happened to be the exact right size to keep me from over-tightening it.
I straightened it out, wrapped it around the base of the threads on the battery, then cut it to size. When I charge the battery, I have to remove the "stopper" but since it is a plastic-coated flexible wire I can take it off, store it, re-shape it and then put it back on the battery with ease.

I cleaned the batteries that were leaked on and they both still work (Phew!) AND, I cleaned the leaky cartomizers and neither of them have leaked since the installation of my homemade backstop.

I hope my experience with this silliness helps someone else.

After I created a ticket on the SI website, i've got this answer :

"You can try priming the CE3 to see if this helps pull liquid into the wicks and coil. To do this, you just remove the CE3 from the battery, put your fingers blocking the connection area, and take short, hard drags off the CE3(about ten times). This should fix the burnt taste. You'll notice there are two small holes on the bottom of the tank of the CE3. This is where the liquid enters the coil. When you prime the CE3 and take these hard draws, you'll notice little air bubbles coming up from one or both of these vent holes. This is how you know liquid is getting in correctly."

And as of now, it works perfectly! If you prime it too much it might make the Clearomizer leak a bit but once you wipe it you're good to good without any leaking issues.

I did something similar when I was getting em dry hits - but left it on the bat and took a few puffs without giving it any power - seemed to help......I think these CE3 are finicky - the small wicks seem to clog up after 3-4 fills. They need more cleaning than the CE2s.....but then again could be my dark 100% VG juice too...........
