I was using the magnet switch method with the plastic washer, but I wanted to get rid of some voltage drop by dropping the magnets.

So while i was looking for rubber o rings to shorten the switch throw, I saw the spare rubber grommets for the tanks of the AGA/Richman rba gennys.

They work well to shorten the throw and give a cushion at the end of the button press.

Coupled with a feather-soft hotspring, it's probably the best bottom-button switch i've ever experienced. ...
Where did you buy the "feather-soft hotspring?" What size is the spring?

I have a 19 on order, so gathering intel. Thanks!

I took the brass hot spring from the top cap of the sig 19v2, stretched it out to get the feather-soft feel, and cut it to size.

I made it feel softer to press than the titan, with a third of the throw distance.

Gonna have to use the tap and die method and put in an adjustable brass screw to make contact with the battery though

VT USA is the first to offer this Copper colored #19. This is all the ever popular Sigelei #19 with the magnetic bottom and hot spring in the top cap. You better hop on these before they fly off the shelf! We can not even keep the stainless in stock!! Sigelei has stated to us that this is constructed of all copper materials. This does not have the Nzonic head at this time. We are working on this with Sigelei. Be one of the first to own this amazing looking mechanical mod.

It's weird they say copper colored and copper materials

In the giant segelei mech mod thread a guy said "copper" in china is brass?

If he's right, thats pretty interesting

China is the largest producer and consumer of copper, I'm sure they know what it is. Brass is a copper alloy anyway, I just always wonder what quality of brass or "copper material" is thrown in these things.

Love the 19, but didn't like the Mis-Fires or the STIFF button. So I replaced the spring with a lighter one that I cut down in length. Removed the magnet, drilled and tapped the post and installed an 8-32 brass screw. I've been using it heavily for the past few hours and not a single mis-fire. :vapor:

I noticed you're from Cali, I was wondering where'd you pick up that slottted flat-head 8/32 screw. I went to lowes and homedepot, and couldn't find anyway (only phillips). I'd rather buy a few screws in person, than a 100 screws on amazon.

The info i've seen online mentioned "copper colored" whatever that means. Makes me think of a finish coating, not a solid brass/copper. I hope i'm wrong!

When you drilled out that cup, did you just use a cordless or did you use a drill press? I wonder if there isn't a brass screw out there that I could just cut to length and thread directly into the bottom button and a could avoid having to drill anything at all? Anybody know the thread pattern on that post?

Once you remove the magnet, there is a cup in the post. There is no hole. Some people are drilling a hole down the center and tapping it, then putting a screw in to bring the height of the post back to normal instead of having the hole in the center where the magnet used to be.

No I get that, took the magnet out right after I got the mod by torching and quenching the post. Question so did u drill the hole for the screw u put in the cup with a cordless drill or drill press. And the bigger question is that the post with the cup on to is threaded at the bottom and screws into the button. So instead of modifying the post, it should be possible to replace the post all together...has anybody done that, if so what size/threading works for this?
