A-HA! I was composing that last post and the answer literally jumped off my desk in front of me! This is a quick and dirty *potential* replacement for that bottom delrin cup! A juice bottle cap, cut off, should do the trick. This is the one that I had right in front of me, very common with many vendors:

I haven't tried it yet but I think that with a bit of coaxing that knurled top part might thread right into the same place:

You can also see here that the cap has a "lip" on the top of it, similar to that lip on the original delrin piece:

It appears just a *bit* larger than the original one but yup! It fits where it matters!

And YES, the firing pin "plunger" fits quite nicely in it too!

I'll try later today to cut off the section with the lip on it about the same length as the original piece and see if it will thread in there. The only missing part of the equation is what to do with the cut off end to give the spring something to press against. The plastic may be thick enough to make this happen on it's own or perhaps a small washer in that end, making use of the plastic threads inside that cap? Hmmm....

Stay tuned.

I was at my local Sears Hardware store and they had a large selection of nylon plastic washers, bushings, threaded bushings, flanged bushings, etc. One of the larger ones I saw was roughly 1" O.D. x 1/4" I.D. x 3/4" thick. They may have something there that'll help you guys out with the 19's switch. If you have a store near you it's worth checking them out.
It was a Sears Hardware store not a regular Sears store.

I'm trying to find a cap like that myself so I can have a go at it. No luck so far but I've got a couple of places yet to check. Unfortunately, I actually preferred the bottles without that lip prior to your discovery! :(

Haha tell me about it, not one bottle I own has a decent lip on it :banghead:

DOH!

These are tamper proof caps but not child proof like most of the ones on the market today. That cap comes from a four year old bottle of Dekang. I see Fasttech still sells some juice with this style of cap and I bet they can still be found in some smaller B&M stores too (that carry Chinese juice). Still you might want to wait to see if it actually works before going through extra trouble to find one. I'll try to get it done today, with or without my hot knife!

Everyone keep their eyes peeled while out and about too! Something out there has to have a similar cap... but what?

Tip: The smoketech telescope button fits and works perfectly on the 19. May be useful for those who've mangled their buttons beyond repair. Also props to the OP for enlarging the spring. Got rid of my misfire entirely..

Thanks for the tip! WIth a smoktech bottom button and the flat top off of my #8 on it my #19 would be quite the mongrel :D

Anyone know if spare parts like the button assembly are available for the smok tele anywhere?

I've got a #19 coming my way, it's my first mech :vapor:

I read the thread and I feel more confused than when I started lol I guess it is since I'm a mech n00b?

Guys, is this gonna work out of the box, or are mods to it, like the ones you discussed here, a must to get it functional?

Is there a place where I can find instructions on how to use the #19?

Battery question, will my unprotected NCR18650B pannys work in this mod safely?

Thanks :vapor:

So far mine works great out of the box i do get a a misfire here and there tho. But aside from that it is great. I may try stretching the spring abit thoit has actually became my fav mech next to my Natural. The only thing i would like to do is polish it up to a nice shine ,so that it looks like one of the more expensive mods. The only thing i did to it is use the top cap from my #13b as my RSST would not screw down enough to fire. I may leave it as it looks good on there and my aga t2's sit flush on it.

Stephuhnator, yes they will work but as they are unprotected you will want to run a vape safe fuse or something similar to avoid damaging the battery or yourself. I use the panny GCR18650'S in all my mechs as they are the safer chemistry Li-Mn or IMR batteries and shouldn't explode. They also have an amp limit of 10 amps and work great.

magnets gone . i just remove the magnets top and bottom pins. on the top cap i sanded the derlin plastic so it will make contact to the battery. in the bottom cap i made a hole on the brass screw and put a copper (you can find hard copper wire on ypur local home depot) for the spring in the bottom cap i just torch it a little bit so it will lessen the tension.

So i have a question , in getting my 19 from exhale vapors along with a nzonic cloned head. Just getting ideas for mods that i will be doing to my 19... I heard that some of the sigeleis came with glue on the switch, was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to remove the switch if it was glued.... Also to the poster above me (peejoe) did u use a tap n dye set or did you just drilled it out.. Do you happen to have the drill size n the wire gauge of Cooper you used, and will you changing out the top head screw with a brass one?
