Did a quick fix on the #19 spring. I was starting to get misfires and electrical shocks through the switch, from pressing and grinding the switch around so the spring made contact with the sides of the tube. I will caveat that I don't do any mods to my devices that mar them, no sanding, no filing, no tapping new screws. The only things I've done is add orings or washers to decrease the throw on my Sigeleis. Anyway, wrapped some no resistance nickel wire around the spring, stuffed this under the metal lip that the switch button presses against when you fire the #19. The spring is now in contact with the inside of the tube via the NR wire or maybe because it's pushing the spring to the other side against the tube wall. No more misfires, no more shocks. No improvement in voltage drop, but this fix wasn't meant for that. :) Easy enough fix even for one like me with no mechanical skills whatsoever.

A slight electric shock and the buton getting too hot after a couple of uses is the reason i took mine apart too..

How are your buttons doing heat-wise?

Also doing better heat-wise. I think the button was making the connection against the tube wall sometimes before I made this fix.

I think the only thing that needs modding is the firing mechanism i got mine vaping like a choo choo train

I discovered that the 19's switch would fit on my smok tek telescope I also discovered that the spring from the broken stt switch is the exact same size as the one in the 19 but its copper so I switched them out seems to have improved things conductively. I also took off the spring on the top cap and put the screw back in wow what a difference in hit or rather optimum coil heat up time. I'm going to look for a small brass one for it. I read an interesting post today that someone is going to use magnets to make the the switch a true magnetic one! I'll keep an eye on that one for sure.

Alright guys...I did it! I now have a 19 with a magnetic switch....NO SPRING AT ALL! And I love it! Hits hard, switch is so easy to push, no nasty grinding...ill post pics in a few mins

I want to see how u did it. Did u do the mod or did u buy a magnetic switch

First thing I did was get a plastic washer...

Then I made the hole in the washer big enough to press fit the magnet in, took the magnet out of the top cap and shaved the delrin cup so just the center pin was exposed...

Put the washer with the magnet and stick it to the neg on the battery, be sure it's on so that when you put the battery in the tube it is repelled by the magnet in the switch...

No more need for the spring, now you have a magnetic switch...can't put a o-ring on the brass pin to reduce button throw or there will not be enough room between the magnets and when u tighten the tube down it would just complete the circuit constantly...here's a pic of all the parts now(notice NO SPRING!)...

And there you have it...any questions, let me know! SUPER EASY TO DO!!!

It's probably one that's been glued, if its got the sigelei logo on it then theirs a good chance it is.

Mine was glued and it was a nightmare to get apart :(

It doesn't have the Sigelei logo and it has the new style top cap with spring. It is actually working fine so I think I'm just gonna leave it alone until something goes wrong.

Modded using the 19 magnets and one extra part, a plastic washer! That's all...very very easy

Can you explain the purpose of the plastic washer? The only thing I could see that it did was maybe provide some spacing? Or maybe I'm missing something ...

It holds the maget in the center of the battery, otherwise the magnet would move to the farthest side when being repelled by the other one...magnet needs to be in the center to make contact with the magnet in the switch

Ah, Thanks, that makes sense to me now. Much appreciated!
