The top cap pin on my #19 is essentially floating now since the threads on the delrin piece have stripped and it moves in the hole.

I stopped using my #19 after this happend![]()
A slight electric shock and the buton getting too hot after a couple of uses is the reason i took mine apart too..
How are your buttons doing heat-wise?
I think the only thing that needs modding is the firing mechanism i got mine vaping like a choo choo train

I discovered that the 19's switch would fit on my smok tek telescope I also discovered that the spring from the broken stt switch is the exact same size as the one in the 19 but its copper so I switched them out seems to have improved things conductively. I also took off the spring on the top cap and put the screw back in wow what a difference in hit or rather optimum coil heat up time. I'm going to look for a small brass one for it. I read an interesting post today that someone is going to use magnets to make the the switch a true magnetic one! I'll keep an eye on that one for sure.
Alright guys...I did it! I now have a 19 with a magnetic switch....NO SPRING AT ALL! And I love it! Hits hard, switch is so easy to push, no nasty grinding...ill post pics in a few mins
I want to see how u did it. Did u do the mod or did u buy a magnetic switch

I can't get my #19 button apart. I tried heating it then using pliers to hold both ends and nothing......
It's probably one that's been glued, if its got the sigelei logo on it then theirs a good chance it is.
Mine was glued and it was a nightmare to get apart![]()
Modded using the 19 magnets and one extra part, a plastic washer! That's all...very very easy
Can you explain the purpose of the plastic washer? The only thing I could see that it did was maybe provide some spacing? Or maybe I'm missing something ...
It holds the maget in the center of the battery, otherwise the magnet would move to the farthest side when being repelled by the other one...magnet needs to be in the center to make contact with the magnet in the switch
Ah, Thanks, that makes sense to me now. Much appreciated!
