can we buy the nzonic head anywhere yet? My 19 is waiting in my hometown to be delivered tomorrow![]()
Yes, correct. This is my first true mech mod, I know the battery will work either direction I put it in, but the positive side should go to the top cap right?
Just got my precious in the mail.. wow. wow wow wow. I freaking love this thing!
Mine has the beveled top cap and had a spring attached by a screw to the bottom of the pos post. I vaped it like that for a while, got a few misfires, contemplated where I want to start improving this thing. Initially I didn't really think there was much room for improvement aside from the battery spring (I've come to really dislike battery springs in general). I tried the #8 top cap which looks pretty decent with an AGA-T2 on top but only works if you swap out the #19 insulator and pos post. I.. um.. shrank my battery spring a little in the pursuit of knowledge, lol. It works but I don't wanna do it.
So I took the top and bottom caps of the #19 apart, all the way apart, several times and now have this thing hitting as hard and consistently than my EA (if not better). It's really a huge difference from the stock setup and it requires nothing more than the removal of one single part.. the battery spring!
I removed the top cap insulator and screwed an AGA down on the cap as far as it will go. Then I screwed the insulator back in, it screwed down flush. Then I screwed the pos post back in which stopped when it hit the AGA's pos post, about 1/32" from flush. Then I screwed in the little screw that holds the battery spring in place. I screwed it down flush at first then backed it off about a half turn at a time until it started hitting like a champ. When it's adjusted just right the mod screws together with no gaps. When the magnet reaches the battery it grabs hold so it has great contact with the battery. At this point it's like the switch and battery are a big post and you just have to make it touch the little screw in the pos post.
It's not a perfect solution. I'd like to sand the little pos screw down a bit so it has more contact with the battery. It will have to be finely adjusted for each 18350 battery as a fraction of a mm can be relevant in the switch feel. So far though it is hitting great and I'm so glad to have added this mod to my collection.
I think I'm gonna try to grind the top down a bit for a flush fit and I have to admit this thing still needs a bath! There is some visible dirtiness in the threads from the factory.

I took the screw and the spring off and just used the brass screw works better

Thanks, yeah I tried that.. the battery won't reach the post on mine. I can't even make contact if I screw the little screw in all the way. I do want to grind the top down a bit so that should help
I did wash it tonight and greased up all 10 million threads. The difference with it clean and greased up is truly surprising. $32 very well spent.
Would these help any with the Magnet mods on the #19

Are you using it in 18350 mode?
Yes. AW IMR.
I installed an O ring on the bottom cap post and a hot spring from a Silver Bullet ( I cut out one spring loop)
Did your 19's from exhale vapors have glue on the switch like others? Mine just shipped and am hoping to prepare for what is to come.
