Congrats...your persistence finally paid off! :thumb:
Sorry about the finger damage...that mod got it's pound of flesh off ya

I ran a brass wire threw the switch so the spring is making good contact, and placed an o-ring in there to reduce the throw a bit. Works like a charm now. I left the bottom magnetic in for now. Gonna find a brass bolt or screw to replace it soon. The magnet only has 0.1ohm of a voltage drop anyway, so not to bad.

Just got my #19.
Nice looking but the bottom button has a long way to travel and a bit of pressure needed by the little finger to press it.
Kinda had a miss-fire but maybe that's cos of the amount of travel for the button.
Read a bit of this Thread but all sounds like too much work for me, I'll try to use it as it came.

What are the advantages of doing all these modifications to it?

I'm interested in the o-ring for shorter throw on the switch, how is that done?

I just picked up a 19b. Its spring loaded on top instead of having a magnet. How do I use this with a kick?

I got a 19B today. I actually thought it was an A when I ordered it. Just discovered basically cannot use a kick in it as standard, looking at it though, possibly if you shaved the delrin on the bottom cap around the magnet right down it might work. Maybe I'm being an idiot. Its a pity its a beautiful mod.

Anyone worked out a way to get a kick working with the 19B?

What if you removed the spring at the top and just take out that little screw and put the kick in that spot...and fyi, the battery can face either direction

thanks for the suggestion, had no thought of that. Just gave it a go, surprisingly it does not work, no matter what the orientation of the kick or battery.
I will say though when i was fiddling earlier, i oriented the kick towards the bottom cap, and when i screwed it together it kept firing with the button locked. I think the pot for the wattage control is getting stuck at an angle against the delrin causing that. Something for people to be aware of if they are fiddling with the Kick and a 19B

UPDATE: May not be a good idea... Rubber grips the button and sometimes loosens it off when using the button lock

I was using the magnet switch method with the plastic washer, but I wanted to get rid of some voltage drop by dropping the magnets.

So while i was looking for rubber o rings to shorten the switch throw, I saw the spare rubber grommets for the tanks of the AGA/Richman RBA gennys.

They work well to shorten the throw and give a cushion at the end of the button press.

Coupled with the hotspring (that came with the 19v2, that i streched and cut to fit.), it's probably the best bottom-button switch i've ever experienced.

I also did some voltage drop testing on the sigelei 19 (with the top magnet off), avenger, and titan. (Measured under load with a 0.8ohm coil)

Avenger - 0.86 voltage drop
#19 - 0.84 voltage drop
titan - 0.43 voltage drop
