I was telling you how to make it display the ohms for 3 seconds. Software version is a symptom of not having noalox on the threads. I was the first to report this type of issue. In the 700-800th post range.. Another member figured out how to make it happen.

To make it do the ohms special feature

Your gonna do a software version check, take bat out, hold fire button put battery cap on, keep holding the button. Shows software version... keep holding the button, it will switch between bat voltage and version.. Then do a button press. It will say sig, then start it up and you will have it. This defaults everything so make sure to change to rms!..

, obviously you don't need to do it right now.. Just don't hit the fire button while battery out and it will save it I believe. But if you do hit button with battery out it will disc rage the board and reset.
Thanks!!! This is cool!!! Why is this not published anywhere?

Yes. Clean, watch the spring tension and use Noalox. This is good advise for using these rigs. If you get abnormal displays from the Siglelei and it works for you that is well and good (maybe for you) but if you want trouble-free operation in the long term avoid using alternative settings and stick with the norm. This rig works quite well within the well-known parameters and settings.

For anyone here that purchased a Sigelei V3 or V5 from ElectronicStix...

I got a weird email from them today. It was a shipping confirmation notice dated today (6-5-2014) for a V3 I purchased from them and received in April of last year. I called them and they explained. It's a software glitch that happened as part of the move to a new warehouse facility. No charge was made.

I got the same thing for an order I made last March. I checked my account there and it showed no new order, and the order number matched the March order number. I went to my bank account and no charge was made so I figured it was probably a glitch of some sort. Thanks for the heads up.

The trio in the backyard this afternoon. Left: second generation V3. Five months old and sized for 18350. Center: first generation V3. Fourteen months old and sized for 18500. Right: V5. Six weeks old and sized for 18650. All are brushed stainless steel.

I am considering getting a V5 but am concerned about the gap area in 18650 mode. Do you feel the edges of the tubes when using it?

I have a Vision Slip for 18350 mode. Short and sweet but unregulated. I found a Smok Zmax Mini and like the looks but it is 18350 only and for the same price I can get the V5 and have the ability to 18500 or 18650. Just concerned about the feel of that gap.

The tube edges in the expansion area not sharp but they are not rounded-over either. When closed for 18350 the gap looks and feels like one of the machined rings that go around the tube. In 18500 and 18650 modes my middle finger usually rests in this gap area. After using the rig for a few hours you will not be aware of this gap at all. I've never seen anyone complain about the way the narrow tube section or the edges feel.

The V5 in 18350 mode is exactly the same length as the Mini: 100mm.

18350 makes for a short rig but the capacity is fairly limited. I use 18350 when I want the smallest size but 18490/18500 is the battery I use 90% of the time. I get maybe three hours from 18350 and six hours from 18500. 18500 is still small enough for me to keep in a jeans pocket. I use 18650 too but only at home where I'm not keeping it in my pocket.

Hey guys, I picked up a flash e-vapor clone. Fits nice on the zmax, and it sits nearly flush on the 510 out of the box. The stacked zmax is pushing it nicely with a 1.4 ohm coil at 5-6v. With stacked 18350. The new efest 18350's I picked up are great they lasted me all day at 1.4ohm @ 5.5v. I was surprised. (Was using 16340 stacked)

Don't mind the screen it fell off, need to glue it back on but not worried about it. It's a nice thumb grip.

Nope red efest flat tops. They more than handle anything I can throw at them in stacked mode. Thier 8 amp rated supposed 6.4 real world. But the thing is since the voltage is 8.4 the amp load from the buck side seems to be almost half the boost circuit would be. So in effect each battery is only being asked for a true 4 amps instead of up to 6-8 from the boost circuit side with one battery at 4.2.

I gotta say this flashi is a beast. Awesome vape.

Isn't that thing beautiful on the zmax!

Those photos almost looks fake or 3d of something with that stainless sheen. :)
