I've already ordered in this 2nd round. I ordered the SB with the 501 atty, but I've been thinking about getting the 801 adapter, but can't see how to add that or even just order it separately on your web site.

the SB's are soo sexy, how hard would it be to make a kr cart adapter, would just need an extra hole wouldnt it? so torn between this mod and one other, at any rate, i gotta wait and save up da funds, boo.
Any update on the rcr123a 3.0v battery situation? Look like they'll be ready to go by the launch date? How much will they run? Will we be able to easily add them to our preorders if we pay in advance?

Just bit the Bullet (I'm punny...) and pre-ordered. Can't wait for these to ship out as this will be my first "good" PV.
It's a great idea that you sell everything separately, as I'm sure a lot of people would have no need for certain things in a "kit". I was about to buy some new 510 attys anyway, so I threw them in my order, but having to pay for attys if I didn't need them may have made me reconsider getting a SB.

Yup there are a few left, as far as I know we're still on for the original ETA end of next week
Yup, that was the whole point. Why make people purchase batteries if they already have them? Just like people who purchased the first preorder and wanted to purchase the longer tube, I allowed them to...but didn't force them to buy the charger again...as the original charger actually charges 18650 batteries ;P
Same thing with the top pieces, we made the 510 a standard for the Silverbullet and then created the little 510 --> 801 or 901 adapters, so rather than charging $60 for a new top piece, we were able to cut that down to $12.95
It's all about the consumer =P

The one in the picture is my unit, I was able to steal one from the shop before the batch was finished. I also took a couple from the batch you see on the floor to assemble. I will be picking up the casings this week from the shop after they are polished. I am unable to polish these at home, it was causing some problems with me and my dogs. A few here and there is no problem but these ones are getting polished at the shop. I have all connections and switches waiting for thier arival. Chad
