Single Coil vs Dual Coil vs Quad Coil

Oh 1 thing I forgot, bad part is you can't do dry burn to clean the coil.. I do a wire change every 2 wick change.. Not a big deal, just thought I let you guys know..

hope that's nickel.. 0.1 for kanthal seems like walking on thin ice.. for me at least

Besides, what's the use of a DNA40 device and pay so much if you don't use temp control.

Well ya it gives a very good vape when it works.. But at times it is very sensitive.. A hard bump and the readings can be off..

Current build, and loving it. twisted 2 strands of 26g kanthal. 7 wraps around 2mm, 0.7 ohms. Covers a lot of surface area. Takes about a second to ramp up tho. not an issue for me.

Havent tried parallel coils yet, as i havent got my 3 post dripper, and parallel coils are impossible to build on a veritas.

To me I prefer parallel but twisted has a nicer/warmer experience. Better flavor would be parallel for me. Cheers!

I'm using 24g with 8 Wraps dual coil setup. Gives me good flavor and also massive clouds. Also open only 1/3 of the airholes on the MutXv3 so that i get more flavor.

I'm trying to use thicker wires but building about 1.3ohm then use about 20 to 25 watts. Hmm what do you guys think?

This is what i have in my veritas right now. 2 coils with a single strand of kanthal. Heats up like a dual coil, but the resistance is not halved. I put the same into my Kayfun. Its nice, cool and flavourful. But i prefer my twisted coils; warmer and denser.
