And I have to confess, the contrarian in me always loved smoking just to piss off all the puritanical control freaks. Apparently vaping pisses them off just as badly though, so I'm good with that.I get the pleasure of pissing them off without cutting off my own nose.

I'm over here giggling like there's NO in my vape. Seriously... seeing some Miss Priss in some parking lot or other, give me that nose-in-the-air treatment when I was smoking, hell, that was fun. I've only gotten it once from the vaping, and I enjoyed it just as much. Most who've evinced the slightest interest in my vape are either all "does it work? is it good? is it expensive? where can I get one?" or they're already vapers. Not a whole lot of vape-disapproval down here, given the usual smoking stats in the south.

Same and since I am only on day 2 with 0 icksticks so I would defiantly go back to smoking. I think if people need to be negative they should ....Yeah, sometimes the USPS doesn't cooperate; I had to actually buy some ejuice recently, because the USPS couldn't be bothered to get my flavors to me in a timely fashion.
It bugs me when idiots spout ignorant nonsense at me too, so I just say, over and over and over if I have to, to get them to shut up, "95%-99% safer than smoking." And to the ever-ready "when will you stop doing THAT?" I say "NEVER. Because if I stop THAT, I'll go right back to smoking." Because I'm quite sure I would. You know those commercials about smoking being a bully? That's it exactly. It's not that I would WANT to go back to smoking... but when that bully says SMOKE NOW, I either vape... or I'll smoke.

Ohhh funny thing one of my step kids asked what was in my vape. Thinking it was some sort of green substance and I was like oh hell no. It's just juice I don't put drugs in my stuff. Lol.

Yup, my father in law just made a point of telling me the same thing yesterday, "those things are worse than cigarettes you know". It just pisses me off. I'm seeing way too many of these threads lately. So many people actually believe that vaping is worse than smoking. I think we're in real trouble with the future of vaping.
I can't say that my doctor thinks vaping is the safest thing on the planet, but when I told him I am now vaping and haven't had a cigarette in the last 14 months ... he is very happy!

Yeah my doctor didn't say it was the safest thing he said it was better than smoking. I just told my mother in law I was vaping instead of smoking. She told me you shouldn't do that. I said what same instance her friend who has asthma got pneumonia from vaping. I do not feel this to be the case. Then I got a lecture once I told her I had a least spoke to my Dr about it she promptly jumped off her soap box. Ugh. Seriously I wish people would get it right.
Well, day 2 is fandamntastic! You know you made it thru ONE day... it really inspired me, that I could make it thru an entire day not smoking, and NOT CARE! That was so amazing to me, I just had to see if I could make it 2 days... before I knew it, it was a week.. a month... I'm just as amazed as I ever was, even though the taste of an *actual* cigarette at this point would probably gross me right out. I don't even like tobacco vapes anymore!
I really think a lot of those making smart remarks to vapers ought to keep in mind that a lot of vapers are brand new non-smokers. You take your life in your hands, getting smart mouthed with those people.
