Thanks JK, but I'll wait for online sales. I've sent one Provari in for repairs, they asked which of three it was, had a record of all of them, and fixed it for next to nothing (new board). Quick too. Great customer service. Just prefer it this way. Like I said, if they can wait, so can I. But I'm down for two, one for the me, and the other for the missus. Oh, yeah, she's a Provari fan as well. I hesitate to say everything I know about my Eye, and I've had one Semo die on me (replaced), so I am fond of Provari. I do like VW, but use VV most of the time (Provari). The P3 is the best of both worlds. I wouldn't trade any of my gear though. Eye, Semo, Provari, what's to complain about? I'm in vape Nirvana.

Huh. Battery life is about the only qualm I have with the semo. I'm back to running 350s, and have to change 'em out every few hours. Sticker mode with a 650 is not much better. I've got some NO-OX-ID coming from Illumn.com, so maybe I can get some relief. Tried conductive carbon grease, but I could not tell a difference, really made a mess, and that grease has warnings that read like a pack of smokes.

If you are serious about "blowing away" regarding battery life, you got my attention. Don't care about fancy pants menus, fancy pants screens, boost mode, blah. But, if I could step out of the house without having a panic attack over battery charge, I would be a happier guy.

Thanks for the report, and enjoy your new toy. I might have to join you.

The battery life is significantly better than the semo. My purple efest has made it since 10 am this morning (est) and is at 51 percent. Been vaping 1.4 kayfun at 13 watts.

I don't blame ya there. I have never had to deal with provape in regards to repairs, but I can see how the already pleasurable experience would be even better with provape already knowing what you have.

I hear you about the voltage drop on the Semo and the Eye. Provari is so much better, imho. If the P3 is like the 2.5, then I'll really be in heaven. 20 watts right? How about ohms on the bottom side?

.7 ohms if I remember correctly. 20 watts is correct, which is more than plenty for me. With all the DNA 30s I've owned I probably went over 15 watts a handful of times.

I actually already got rid of my flask. The qc issues and all of the issues people are having with the million different folks that are dropping in evolv chips has really kinda soured me. I think that's why I ended up coming back to provape. They have their own chip inside their own housing. I don't have to worry about whether or not some modder has completely f'd something up or let something pass through qc that shouldn't have. I understand that production items will always have a few bad eggs, but it seemed to be extensive with all of the DNA mods out there, and for the price people are spending that's just unacceptable. In the end I came back to something that isn't necessarily the "hot item" and doesn't crank up to a trillion watts, but has a reputation that is second to none.

Of course those are just my 2 pennies.

I've noticed some voltage drop on one of my 2.5s.

It's a mini with a Tatroe ring and a Tatroe base.

I'm wondering if those add-ons are causing it.

I'm also wondering if the Provape extension base for the mini would also and if it would be as bad.

It's not that horrible but I do notice it. This is one of the reasons I'm looking forward to getting a P3.

the Battery health and IQ will make it easier to diagnose this sort of thing.

Btw, just noticed ProVape is selling No-Ox on the Accessories page now, instead of Noalox.

My tatroes are worse than the Provari extensions, but only .1 volts.

Whats the deal Bill? the eye not holding its own in your impressive vape arsenal?

Voltage drop was disappointing, but I vape a lot and use a lot of batteries regardless.

I dropped the Eye. The tube bent at the battery cap, and there is no replacement. Customer service suggested I buy the telescoping base, which I did, but it's not the same. They would not figure out a way to sell me a new 18650 tube, and then stopped replying to my emails. I have dapping punches and u-channel blocks, so I ultimately did fix it so the cap would screw into the now unbent tube, but I thought at these prices, there should be replacement parts and better service. How many people have machining tools? After this experience, I decided I would not buy another Eye, and when the P3's come online for sale, I'll buy a couple of those. Just disappointing customer service. What is it with the Germans and their customer service? Provari is fabulous with repairs and replacements. What can I say?

But apart from this unfortunate and detrimental issue how is/was it? Also, how come the tube got bent? Is it that flimsy?

Yes, tube it too light, imho. When I dropped it, the tube got jammed so hard into the cap, that the cap popped out and left the tube indented past the point where the cap would not fully seat. I've dropped the Provari about 500 times and it's fine.....laughs it off and calls me a pu**y. Voltage drop is severe, as bad as the Semo or worse. It was bad when I got it, so it's not just dirty contacts, which I'm a fanatic about cleaning so I don't get voltage drop. I also rotate ten different RTA's, so I know it's not "just" the Tai GT's. I literally can only use half my battery. So, yeah, it's a wee bit disappointing.

Now, apart from that, it's a truly excellent APV. But for the same money or less, I'm thinking the can't be hurt P3 may, once again, be the way to go. Just waiting for online sales from ProVape. :toast:

Sorry to hear about that situation with the eye. That really does suck. Lack of customer support is unacceptable at those prices. They are not disposable apv's.

Glad I never took the plunge... As much as I try to baby my hardware, it inevitably gets abused, it's part off USING your stuff I suppose.

I'm sure the provari p3 is built like a tank, and ProVape has a proven record of taking care of their customers one way or the other. I just never "wanted" a provari, but I did like the quality feel of the p3 for the 5 minutes I messed with it.
