True, but if you have any ability to solder it won't present any issues. I'd love to see pics of the innards on that thing to get a sense of how they wired the cells.
Probably end up being some sort of proprietary cells. But I am sure someone will find a way. Can't see it being a popular modification as this one won't really be a hot seller.

Tap'd from my LG G3

Right behind you...
I didnt see anything about it on the site, but do we know if this is temp control like the dna40 where you need specific wire or are they doing this with kanthal?

Seems like everyone in Shenzhen has their own clone of the Evolv nickel implementation now. So yeah, you'd need nickel or titanium wire.

Nothing. Those batteries should last for at least 2, probably closer to 3 years. If it works as advertised it's a steal.

Cool. I prefer the built ins, like to keep it simple and as hassle free as i can. I guess it takes a couple of weeks to get the first reviews on this thing, if there's no major issues i'll get one for sure.

I considered this device untill I read about the lipo batteries :( I mean, lipo's would be ok until they need to be replaced at the end of their life....

I know everyone above me has mentioned the lifespan being great. I just have to ask, do you own a cell phone? A lithium ion phone is going to retain 80% capacity after 500 cycles, so even with your cell phones your looking at needing to replace every 2 or 3 years anyways yet your still likely to spend $600+ on a cell phone.
