Gee, just reading about us oldies makes me feel older. I'm still here though.

jj2 and Sun, when I joined the forum, I chuckled when I saw members who had been here a year or two, with the title of "Veteran" and referring to themselves as "old timers". Now I see why members can feel that way. It seems that most of the active members that I see here now, have been members for less time than me. After only six months, I'm starting to feel like an old timer and I don't chuckle any more.
Another "old timer" here. Been reading more than posting, but have been signing all petitions and emailing anyone I can think of.
Maybe some of us new timers can add some fresh fuel to the fire and bring something new to the table....i'm just sayin' but I'm usually wrong lol!

Could you just bring a new table? The tables in here are getting pretty bad, they're all covered in greasy popcorn butter finger prints.

I think once you get "Veteran" status, you are an old timer. So that would be one year.

But, you can't be a lurker, Charley!!! You have be an active member with a bunch of posts, to become a veteran.
Off the top of my head, I don't know how many posts are required.
According to post that I just read from Lu, it's 75 posts and 1 year to become a veteran.
I've been de-lurking as time goes by and read a lot in the different forums and pipe in when I feel I have something to say, so when my year is up, I think I'll have at least 75 posts (I think this is #18) but I'm still learning from the "Old Timers" and want to add things that count instead of posting just to get my status raised. So when I become a veteran, I want to feel that I've earned the status!
But in the meantime, I'm still willing to supply tables when needed!
This old 'oldtimer' is still here too ! Don't post much anymore but sign petitions/take surveys when required and still follow this thread religiously !

Joking aside though, can't follow much of the rest of this forum anymore (apart from the Veterans' area ofcourse !) because it's simply gone too crazy, but this thread is just too important not to follow !

Been off tobacco for two years now and it feels great ! E-cigs are true life savers and we need to do all we can to fight for our right to use them !

Well, I know I get can get tired of these anti's not listening, but life's pressures and responsiblities have to take priority at times. I take some refuge in the knowledge that there are so many wonderful people in this forum and I do have some sense that in the end, vaping will be proven to be as safe as we believe it is. I think we've had some victories now that we can hang our hats on, and that's cool, too.
