Uke, same thing happened to me when I tried my first one with my Provari. I threw it away, filled another and the E1 error went away. However, the second one had a burnt taste. Not a very good start.... 3-5 have been perfect though. I have said before they need to work on QC, but the ones that work work amazingly well. Don't give up yet.

I liked them so much that I placed a larger order with Crystal Clear vaping for both me and my brother on Saturday. I got them yesterday in the mail. Great communication, and super fast shipping and great price.

so far so good on Vari at 3.9v... i have a question on filling/dripping ...
I use a bottle/needle for my juices and when i stick the needle into the bottom hole, should i aim it towards the sides, like i do on the top???
I like to drip from the top after the amount of vaping i would do in what i consider consider a few of my normal drip amount (3-4 normal drops x 3), but don't bottom feed refill as much.

So far I'm loving these things on my Ego! I got the 1.25's, loaded with 50 drops! of juice using the taryn spin method (this works great). I was shocked at the amount of vapor this produces, it really is all I need now. I carry two all day, load one up with 36 Tobacco and the other with 26 Cigar and using 650 batts I can vape on them all day long. I'm happy!

Hope everyone that is having bad experiences with these actually knows how to fill a cartomizer.

I condom fill from the bottom first, then drip fill the top till it is fully saturated.

Thanks Stownz! I'm still cating up on this thread and maybe things have changed in other areas. But I have been loving these, as a replacement for Boge LR cartos that don't last with me. But I had gotten away from condom filling cartos because I felt I was wasting too much juice. Was dripping.. Waiting.. Dripping...) I just tried one with the condom method and it sucked it up so quick! Too "condoms"! And no waste! Now I'll probably drip the rest. But a great time saver with these. Thanks!

And, by the way all (and I'm admitting I'm way behind in reading on these) mine look like bare copper and are working great. The closest to Boge LR cartos on an ego that I've found. And last much longer than the boges. Due to no burning I would guess.

(Now I'll keep reading the thread and see if I made a fool of myself :)

To each his own! With all devices, juices, everything witrh vaping. Tha is the common thread I see all over ECF.

I think the vapor I get from CE2's and attys tastes better,[...] Also, I like a few 100% VG juices that do not play nice with these cartos. The draw gets too tight before I've vaped away the first fill.

I haven't met an E2 I'd put up against these for flavor... but dripping is dripping. Nothing tastes better than that.

As for the juices you have that plug them up - I have a couple that plug them in about three fills. At first, I thought that was a bummer. But, then I put a plugged one on 6.0v. Wow. Now I can't wait for them to start getting tight. -- 6.0v is just a little bit hot for a fresh one. At 6.0, you have to be careful and take really short pulls to avoid scorching juice. One that's starting to plug on the other hand, is just right at that temp. You can hit them pretty hard.

I can't see how these would "get tight" in their draw, as long as that center hole stays open. I look down through it when I tap up the duallie, just to make sure it's clear. It gets a little juice in her so I run a paper clip through (carefully) just to get the fluid out.

I am getting a little reduced vapor but I've tapped the one up with ~150 drops so far. Possible the coils are finally gunking up some. I'll vape it until it is useless and possibly dissect for fun.

Hi guys,

Just want to toss my hat in here.

I received a single example of the Dual Coil Carto. And have vaped it on and off for about 24 hours.

My initial thoughts, considering I've not been a big fan of these types of filler cartos, is that this is greatly improved from previous experiences. The vapor is good, the taste seems improved, and like other cartos of the filler type it's a warm vape.

So for me it ranks just below the Go-Go carto- which produces very cool vapor.

To sum it up: It's a pretty impressive improvement on an older design. Nicely done.

The unit was used on a 3.7 volt 18650 and a 1000mah eGo battery.

Can someone give the definitive answer on whether these are safe for egos?

Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

I am not a very techinical minded person :) but can tell you that the consensus is that any LR atty or carto will drain your ego type battery faster thus reducing the life. That is the only "danger" that I have heard of. I mainly use mine on my Buzz but did try one on my Riva. That vapor was amazing on the Riva but to me the flavor is more pronounced on my Buzz. Hope that helped.

I wouldn't use them on the standard 650mah eGos. I use them sparingly on my 1000mah eGos. Only time will tell if it shortens the life of these batteries. One thing we know is that these put a significant demand on all batteries because of their low resistance. When I'm at home, I tend to use these on my Silver Bullet with a AW 2900mah LiNiCoO2 battery. With this setup, I don't have to worry that the MOSFET will blow or burn the switch out.

I use them on 150mah batteries. Why do you all concern yourselves with a 650mah? Sure it's liable to shorten the life. Any amount you drop resistance and overtax a battery it shortens life, even at 1100mah (just less noticeable). It's a matter of degree of degradation.
My 150mah's will live a short life. No biggie,,, I paid very little for them ($9.00 ea). I might get 3 months out of em before frustrated and I start using another one, so I'll be out ~$36.oo in a year for the option of running these duallies on a cig sized unit, which I love..
I don't recall what Ego batteries cost, but it seems it wasn't much. I wouldn't go out of my way to put higher mah batteries on, just to enjoy these carto's.

.

Exactly why I rank it just above. One of my pals has the go-go and I've spent a few hours vaping it on a couple of occasions. The easy draw I find a little too easy and the cool vape I find even cooler than most anything else I have (which is OK for me with sweet flavors and mint). For my tobacco flavors, I really prefer a warmer vapor. - I like the capacity of the go-carts and they do seem to be very consistent. But the capacity of the dual coils is nothing to sneeze at either, and other than some QC issues, they've also been very consistent. -- I like the dual coils even better when giving them some volts. 6.0v is just a tad too much (unless I remember to be very careful with short pulls) but these things really shine with my 5.0v batts.

At 5 or so volts and a good tobacco juice, the dual coils are the closest thing to the analog experience I've found. Short pulls for very warm, flavorful, thick vapor. -- I don't always want that type of vapor (thus I use ego-t's and map tanks often), but I find it very satisfying.

I tried these a few weeks ago. Bought a 5-pack from nhaler. I gave up on cartos a little less than a year ago, when all the "second generation" cartoes proved vapable for only a few hours before the vaping got inconsistent. I have been doing nothing but direct dripping onto an LR atty (eGo) for a year now. Decided to try these.

While the flavor is still a bit muted compared to the direct drip, the vapor production and TH are pretty much on par. More importantly, I got about 3-4 days of quality vaping off these before it got bad and I discarded them. Four cartoes lasted 14 days. The fifth was DOA. It had no air holes and therefore no draw. These could obviously use better QC, but then again, this has been true with e-cig parts in general since the very beginning.

Not knowing that these are not supposed to be used on the 650 mah eGo, I did just that. None of my batts died, but then again I don't know how much their lifespan might have been shortened.

I considered buying another batch but went ahead and ordered a go-go kit instead to see what all the fuss was about (hasn't arrived yet.) If the Go-Go doesn't work out I may order more. I am *very* picky and tend not to like most hardware I try but these weren't bad at all. They won't be an everyday replacement for drip because the flavor isn't quite there yet, but they're good enough to use for times when I'm out and don't want to carry a bottle around. Much better than the crap cartoes that people were raving about last year.

Can I just fill one of these and vape it dry, screw on another...and refill the empties later?

People keep speaking of it needing to be topped ten or so drops at a time...

Do I have to keep adding juice every 10 to 20 tokes? Might as well drip if that's the case...

Why put 2ml of juice in something that really only effectively holds 10 drops at a time?

Thanks

My experience has been, I fill the new cart, vapes for about 5-6 hours (I'm a heavy vapor), then it needs refilling. I typically put in about 20-25 drops every 2 hours. I can't put in the amount I put in originally or it overfills. Meaning that the carto can actually have quite a lot of juice in it but still not vape well. I don't mind filling it every couple of hours as it is a lot less frequent than dripping. However, a problem I have with all cartos is that it's inevitable when you discard them you are going to lose probably 1-2 ML of juice. If that happens once every few days, it's a fair bit of extra expense to take on to the cost of the carto.

You can vape one of these for a very long time without topping off. They give the best flavor when kept wet, but that doesn't mean they won't vape unless kept wet. Also, those using them at high voltages need to keep them wet (that's just a fact of getting in to the 6.0v range and above).

When I left the house this morning, I went out with a full carto on my PV, two full ones in my pocket, and a spare battery. I came home with two nearly dry cartos in my pocket, one still vaping great on my PV, and a dead batt to put on the charger. When I 're-filled' the two empty cartos, I got about 1.4 ml in to each of them. A fresh fill of a brand new one of these is really close to 1.8 ml. So, I can't say you can vape them completely dry but you can use the majority of the juice without topping off.
