I guess you could but for me 1000 feet of cotton wick at $ 1.77 and using 100 vg the thicker wick just wicks better. I have used a Cinnamon apple caramel mix with no problems no leaks in the second chamber as the fat wicks fill up the larger holes. Hope this helps
I got my Hyper SRT this morning...
First thing out of the box, because I had watched Chris's video... I opened everything up, straighted out the coil so it sat level with the posts and slightly straightened out the wicks... Filled with some Hush that I also got in remembering to also prime the coil... I immediately got a lot of vapor and excellent taste. I've been vaping on this since around 11am ( it's about 5:30pm now ) and it is still working perfectly.
There is very little that I can think of as far as improvements... The only thing I could think of was a cap that would allow the use of standard 510 drip tips instead of the included cap/tip combination they currently have. I was able to take a cap from one of my DCT tanks and use a big belly type of drip tip ( the frosted ming vase from GV )... and it works the same as the original cap/tip.
All in all... this is going to be an awesome tank for the advanced user crowd.

Rd i could not agree more . Really like this tank as is and also with making my own coils over anything out there at this point in time.
I would like something other than metal for a drip tip but i can live with that, perhaps i might try and cut one of my tanks metal ones off not sure though.
For the price its just fantastic.

I still plan to use the Vivi Nova and Mini Vivi Nova's...
The Hyper SRT does have better flavor than either of the VN's but the ease of changing the VN heads vs the coil/wick of the Hyper has it's advantages also. So for me... the Hyper is added to my favorite selections of tanks which still include the Vivi's

I really want to try one of these but worried I will not figure out the building/changing wick/coil process. Is there a visual anywhere that would help my light bulb to go off? Also is got vapes selling the supplies...i hear you guys mentioning different kinds of wicks and coil material and am at a lose. My old brain may be past figuring this out.
If you can operate a tiny screwdriver you can do this. They sell prewound wick and coil sets in various ohm readings also.

whats the hole in the tube for? Did you plug the other hole where the wick went?
hole in the tube is to get air to and around the wick, I did not pulg the origanal air hole under the factory wick. I also left the 2nd factory wick hole open to allow easy filling.

Not to sound perverted , but can I see your coil area. If you can't do macro that's fine. i'm just curious. My SS mesh should be here tomorrow and I'll be giving it a go.

Yes I did Ed. I'm just a bit unclear as to the connections. Although I guess I can just go with the same connection points as the original. At least I don't see why I can't.

Wow I'm impressed with this, nice vapor and great TH and flavor. I was going to sell my Chrome provari, but this just looks sweet on top, I just wish my Chrome skull head could be used with it.
I was wondering how is the tube? Will it hold up without cracking, i am filling it with a syringe, I just don't want to disturb it anymore than I have to. I have had some bad luck with the outdated map tanks. This seems to be very well made.

If you have a old dct tank laying around you can use the top cap and any drip tip you want it will fit and work the same .At Least mine seems to work the same.

Mine looks kinda like that, i did not solder the 510 connection yet. I temporary put a toothpick in the hole to try it out.
I drilled a 1/8 hole for the wick and 1/16 for the air hole in tube. Hope this helps.
Well lets just say that after buying a New Genesis type atomizer "The DID" from Greece i got spoiled

It is poly carbonate but of a thicker kind, can't say it will hold up under all juices but it should be pretty hearty...and thks for the comments on shipping...
